Currys have the Tassimo T65 in Titanium for £89.99 plus they are giving away a £10 Currys voucher to use in February 2012. Also you can get another £20 cash back direct from Tassimo by going to their website and playing the Cadburys game, it gives you details of what to send off for your £20 cash back.

So effectively you are getting the Tassimo T65 Titanium for £59.99. Having looked at the price of the pods I believe the Tassimo pods are the cheapest per drink, even the double pod drinks.

I have a Tassimo. Bought it over 5 years ago. Still good as new. But now redundant, as the pods are 3 times the price of the pods I use in my espresso machine.

Tassimo makes good-tasting coffee. But I prefer the aroma, crema & flavour of coffee from my espresso machine. At a third of the price per pod, it's a no-brainer.

Tassimo pods are roughly 25p each. Say 2 cups a day x 365 = £180 a year. Or £360 a year if you prefer the coffees that come with milk pods.

Yes that's cheap compared with Starbucks coffee house prices. But very expensive compared with coffee made at home in a proper espresso machine... about £35 a year for loose ground coffee or £65 for pods. Click here and here for deals on two espresso machines which make great coffee at home for minimal cost.

If you really want a pods-only drinks machine, then also consider Nespresso. In the December 2011 issue of Which? Nespresso machines outperformed Dulce Gusto / Senseo / Tassimo by a large margin.

Dooper, your like a broken record on this topic.
You must have put the same spiel in more than 3 threads ( and thats just the ones Ive seen)

Thanks Bluenose, I agree. If you buy the pods at Amazon they are the cheapest. Suchard Chocolate 80 pods for £19 ie 24p per drink. There are others available at this price and even the double pod drinks only come in at 48p. I really don't think that is breaking the bank for a little treat - do you?

ive had my tassimo for 2 years now

you have to do a de-scale every 500 drinks, ive just done my 4th one meaning ive done 2,000+ drinks

its superb, dont care about the prices as i get mine from tassimo in france & amazon deals
