The real cost of these is the massive long term cost of paying (50p?) for the daily coffee (or multiple drinks per day) which really adds up over time and is basically an addictive subscription. My flatmate always complains he's broke yet has 2-3 of these every single day (£1-1.50 every single day). If he invested just £1 of that per day sensibly and managed to get 8% returns p/a that is nearly 100,000 of money he would when he retires. Or 1.50 per day would be nearly 150k. It's not just £1 per day. The coffee is costing 100-150k. Is it really worth that?

Sorry this site is about good deals on specific items not general life advice.

This is a good deal if you are in the market to buy a coffee machine, I'm not saying it's for everyone or that it's cheap for coffee, it is cheap for good coffee.
