Never tried Tassimo. Any good?

Used on for about three years. Tasty, in a way, but mostly loaded with sugar and, not exactly real fresh coffee. Got myself a traditional Italian moka pot for £5.75 from Waitrose. Easy to clean only takes a minute on the stove lasts a lifetime. Back to real coffee.
Register your email address and get 2 ten pound vouchers to use. One of them can be used against this purchase. 39.99 bargain!!

hotukdeals.com/dea…353 ordered that one the other day. Wonder if the Vivy 2 is noticably better.

never tried either but UHT milk and expensive pods put me off.

By the way, Americano may be sugar free not sure. All the rest of this bunch are loaded with it and that weird milk that, since they changed the formula, comes out like microfoam rather than frothed.

Had one, along with countless other pod machines. They all end up in the cupboard sooner or later. I've gone back to my filter machine.

Best coffee from a pod machine, imo, has to be the Nespresso. Tassimo is good for variety of drinks, but if you're wanting decent coffee, I doubt you'd find it with this.

+HEAT for the deal though!! Thanks OP.

Iv got a tassimo its really easy to use, and theres normally good offers on the pods plenty of variety to chose from to
Argos are still asking £106.99 for this model. thats crazy when its under £50 elsewhere

If you're the sort of person that goes to Costa to buy a coffee, then you'll like this machine.

If you're more of the coffee connoisseurend of the spectrum, then no.

The pods can be expensive, but if you buy in bulk when the deals come around (and they do fairly frequently) then it can work out a lot cheaper than getting a coffee from the coffee shop each day.

We tend not to use the various drinks anymore, it’s just a fast filter for us. No waste as we don’t make more than we need and the coffee is fine. I guess it depends how particular you are about coffee.

I agree with what you are saying its the right amount of coffee so no waste. I know the coffee pods are not great for the environment but then neither is using the wrong amount of coffee and spending ages cleaning a cafetiere and filter out.
A Tassimo machine is quick, easy and clean to use, and things like the oreo drinks are fun for kids, but personally I prefer a plain and simple americano pod, no sugar and add my own milk (I don't really like the Tassimo drinks that use seperate UHT milk pods like lattes etc).

Have a look at Terracycle if you want to reduce waste. They recycle the Pods.

Can this dispense plain hot water?
discount code worked for me, cheers i nearly bought a machine yesterday
On Amazon, it states...

Water capacity 0.7 litre

That's about two cups of coffee
Anyone wondering about the extra £10 discount to make it £39.99
Register and make an account, after it'll ask you to register a product, just click yes and click on the vivy 2 and it'll show you two codes. You don't need to order the machine to get the vouchers, just click register product as if you do, enjoy

Depends on what you're drinking, but on an average that's three cups. Though, its not very inconvenient to refill.

Yes, but you'll need to use the 'service disk' that shipped with it. Essentially, the service disk has the barcode that instructs it to dispense only hot water.
Thanks OP...ordered with £10 voucher code and hopefully Quidco 12%

Just checked, my original Tassimo is 1.8l so I guess the Ivy 2 M/C must be tiny in comparison.

£5 tracked but forgot the £2.50 :-(
As primarily a Tea drink, who likes the occasional coffee, I bought a Tassimo a few years back because they have a few tea options (Twinings Breakfast, Chai latte & green tea). Was happy, but ultimately it cost too much, especially for just the Tea options. Bought a Dolce Gusto for £27 (courtesy of HUKD). The Dolce Gusto Americano coffee is great, and the DG machine has even replaced my kettle, since they all have a switch for either Hot or Cold water, when you need it. Where as the Tassimos require you to specially buy a disc (cost me £9) just to be able to dispense some hot water for you needs (what rip off!). Put simply Tassimo are not consumer friendly, so try another brand. My D.G. acts as a kettle, but can make a nice coffee when I have friends round, or when I fancy one.
Great, thanks for posting, missed previous deal. £4.99 TCB to if it tracks ok
Good deal but a sneaky one. This was £35 before Christmas so throw in a few drinks and up the price. Still works out decent but it’s a little bit of a con. In terms of the machine we use ours regularly.
Are there mocha pods? If so, any good?
