Taste of Leeds 5-8 June 2008, Millennium Square
Making an exciting Taste Festival debut in the North, Taste of Leeds will be launching on 5-8 June 2008. Taste of Leeds will be hosting a number of the region's finest restaurants in the impressive backdrop of Millennium Square.
Restaurants including Michelin starred The Star Inn, glamorous Harvey Nichols' Fourth Floor and local culinary hero Anthony Flinn's eponymous Leeds establishment will be serving up signature dishes in sample sizes and entertaining visitors over the four days…

This year's fantastic features will include the Taste Kitchen where you will find your favourite chefs and food writers running fabulous demonstrations and tastings celebrating the very best of British food. The delicious. Magazine Producers' Market in association with Leeds Corn Exchange, will celebrate Yorkshire's finest local produce, and a strong representation from Leeds' legendary bar scene will ensure the festivities last throughout the four days.

Visitors are advised to book early as tickets are likely to sell out.

so it's like a farmers market that you have to pay to get into? sounds a bit mad.

Haha, no idea why its so cold! Its some thing cheap to do on Saturday!

I enter the code and can't see the 241 ticket? I keep clicking continue and when it checks out it tries to charge me £28 for the standard tickets?

E: Finally got it to work now >_

I think it's because you still have to pay for the food and drink once you get in, plus there are surcharges of £1 for nearly everything

"Taste Festivals operates its own currency called Crowns. Crowns can be purchased with tickets and at the event and are required to buy dishes from the restaurants and can also be used to buy food and drink from exhibitors"

For two people to go, with £10 pounds worth of "Crowns" each, will still cost a total of £35 with the 2 for 1 offer, so hardly a bargain IMO.

"2 x STANDARD 2 FOR 1 (MULTIPLES OF 2) @ £6.50 each
2 x £10 CROWNS @ £10.00 each
There is a transaction fee of £2.00 for this order
The total amount charged will be £35.00"

Yeah I understand that, but for people who are going any way it is a very good deal! If two people were to go it would be £27 for the two tickets and £20 for the 10 crowns each. So a saving of £12, not to be sniffed at!
