A free two-month TasteCard. You don't have to be a student nor do you need to provide any payment details.

For new customers only (use a different email address if you've already trialed with them before.)

Good but you can't use this December in most places.

Good deal but as a Tastecard user it would be silly to take out a 2 month Free trial now as they block out most of the restaurants in December.

Beat me to it.

Thanks, just got 4 months for £1. Just set a reminder to cancel. Done it before without a problem.

Me too . Years ago they used to give full year free card to early applicants.

Not sure this is ever worth it considering pretty much all restaurants do offers anyway and they put so many restrictions on it. Seems a complete con at 80 quid a year.

I personally wouldn't buy it myself. However, NatWest provide me one free with my current account- I've used it a couple of times.

Even if you only use it once, it's worth signing up for the trial imo

It’s asking for payment details? Maybe because I’ve had a trial before?

Do you still have to phone up to cancel? When I did the tastecard deal I was on hold for over 30 minutes before I could get through to cancel. Friends also had similar experiences.

Yeah, if you've used the trial before then you'll get a cheaper price but it won't be free unfortunately.

Well seeing as they aren't taking any payment details off you if you're a new customer, then no you won't have to call up and cancel - they can't re-new your membership without your card details

Are those £1 per month options still available on their site for this?, thanx.

Is this normally 80quid? Bought two last December, 1 as an Xmas pressie and 1 for ourselves, from taste cards own website for about £28 each. Maybe they have a sale on around that time of year?

Used it plenty of times and saved way more than the cost of the card. Free months, £1 for 4 months, whatever you can get i would say is well worth it, if you use it though! :-)

Asked me for payment details ...

Don’t want to have to remember to cancel lol

I took out the trial and cancelled online once my card was on way!no problem at all!card valid til expiry date!x

Got one from my company last year for £30 but doubt I will renew as there are more than enough voucher codes out there. Plenty of restrictions and most of the deals are 2-4-1 so only suitable for couples. I eat out at Bluewater a lot but there's very few places that accept it there unfortunately

Thanks! Got 4 months for a quid with a different email address...not bad

You can cancel easily online (See this link: tastecard.co.uk/m/m…cel) or over the phone

"If your membership is digital only accessed via our App, your membership will be renewed automatically on the final date of your membership term. If you do not want to renew your membership you should contact us by telephone on 0800 5677 241 or 01484 477 645 at any point within your membership period and no later than 5pm on the working day preceding the expiry date of your current tastecard membership. The automatic renewal does not apply to gift purchases. To cancel your membership, please call us on 0800 56 77 241 Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. Upon cancellation you will receive a confirmation email; it is recommended that this is kept for your own personal records."

Depending on where you live and how often you go out at weekends - it has its uses. However - the draconian underhand Autorenewal trick they pulled on me will forever lead me to recommend people steer clear of a company with such poor concept of customer service.

It goes on email address AND postal address, so you'll need to change both if you want a second free trial. Personally, I'd never pay for it because of all the daft exclusions (and having to ring up the restaurant first to check if they want to take it on that day), but it's okay for free

***DON'T USE OR SIGN UP***
CANCELLED VIA THE ONLINE FORM,
MEMBERSHIP WASN'T CANCELLED,
CALLED THEM UP THE SAME DAY THE MONEY WENT OUT,
WAS TOLD....
"We never received any cancellation"
....WOULDN'T REFUND THE MONEY,
RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THEM

I'm on a graduate account, but they also offer it on their silver and platinum accounts

Don’t ever give them your card number - scummy company to deal with when it comes to cancellations.

Definitely set a reminder to cancel - Unfortunately realised too late myself.

Had one for a year. Cinema tickets failed, not at the cinema when we arrived. Restaurant - failed, let us order off the wrong menu so that offer not available. Next restaurant said we had to buy two starters, two mains and 4 sides to qualify for one free main.

Don't bother.

When I tried a free trial I found the restaurants I tried had good offers that couldn't be combined with the card, making membership useless for me. I forgot about the membership then got invoiced for a full year and they were quite aggressive in trying to make me pay.

This card is a complete waste of time would have it even if it was free
