Ordered thanks, the deal is still available in black and also turquoise at the price. Reviews of internet are excellent and it has been difficult trying to find a deal on a branded bag suitable for trad climbing (hard wearing, front full zip, 65l+ size).

Try not to be too disheartened. I agree it's annoying when deals you know to be good go this way, but I'm sure you've still helped someone.

Tip for next time (may or may not help - voters are fickle!): put either the amount saved or the original RRP in the title too, so people can instantly see what the saving is. You're right - £70+ saving is a great deal in a good product, but most people don't bother clicking through for more info.

Also, with quite a high end niche product like this, a bit of blurb in the description about why this bag is the bees knees might help folk who've never spent >£30 on a bag before realise why this might warrant the price tag.

Ryanair has a stricter limit of the two airlines I've mentioned, 55x40x25cm which is 44000cm^3 which is 44l.I didn't mean to imply that the osprey Farpoint was the actual biggest allowed, although that is how my post reads. I just wanted to recommend a bag that has served me well on my back and also as a carry-on near the limit.

No worries, but the 45l Lowe Alpine is allowed as well (they have a tag with it which lists all the airlines its allowed as cabin baggage (most airlines) and Ryanair and Easyjet are on the list, I've expired this now because of clowns marking it as cold - idiots ruin this site for everyone else - their is no valid reason to mark a quality product and a genuine deal cold.

This is a proof of concept at best, you could buy a powerbank, regulator and an 80w solar panel for under £100 and still be relatively green using the panel to charge the powerbank which it will do even in winter. Each to their own I guess, just seems a lot to me for limited functionality.

It would only be a waste for you if you bought it.
There are many good things on HUKD that I wouldn't be interested in myself (including this). But my preferences and requirements don't apply to everyone.

I think the problem started with all the shoddy copies on ebay and carboot sales. Personally love TNF stuff, got a Goretex Pro Shell (Free Thinker II) and its fantastic though its top of their range (RRP around £400 not that I paid anywhere near that), used by lots of ski school staff and rescue organisations.

Yes well on this site this was never gonna do well. Seems to me a very keen price for a great tent (although there are better options out there IMHO). I've had one of these for over 15 years and it is quite bomb proof. You just need to understand how to deal with condensation. A good 3-4 season tent.

If anyone is looking for a proper 3/4 season tent with loads of room (i mean loads) look at the Golite Shangri-La 3 with hex nest. It's a massive tipi design with one pole in middle that can handle anything UK weather can throw at it within reason. Okay for 3, better for 2, luxury for 1.
