3.99 to stream in uhd, not sure what the quality is like, obviously not as good as a disk but mibbes worth a try for all the new 4k telly owners.

I'm not sure I like this film, so I'll just rent it first to see.

Supposedly it's not officially released as yet, I found a site saying this is how they started it in America and they seem to be doing same here. I heard it was just Sony films so spent the other night having a nosey.

Still unsure on streaming uhd, great for laziness but is the quality there?

It was rolled out in the US and Canada last year. Start of November (6th) they rolled out UHD stream option in the UK.

Issue however is lack of UHD content compared to disc and itunes. For the first week they only had one film (Spiderman Homecoming) but hopefully going forward they'll add more as they release. They also aren't going to upgrade libraries like apple did plus you require a chromecast ultra or a very specific set of Android TVs (Sony).

Cold. Rather watch an Uber Driver in 8k.

£1.99 with the Play Store offer

Slightly odd, the film is missing from my account on my Shield and LG TV.
It's available on my phone and laptop but there's no obvious way to access the UHD version.

But if you buy and download you have the film , or do you have to play through Play store not a USB ?

Are these actually any good quality wise? Just got a Sony Android TV with a google bundle offer but not sure if it’s for a rental or to keep! Spider-Man Homecoming is one of the options!

Spiderman homecoming is awesome on bluray I'm sure you won't go wrong picking that on your offer

I'm not sure about these particular transfers (some original HDDVD & bluray HD transfers were sloppily done), but 4K streaming on YouTube is pretty good (the backend for Google Play movie streaming). Take a look at 4K Tomorrowland festival videos, for instance.

As long as you've got decent quality fibre broadband you should be good streaming, although you can usually download/cache Google Play movies, but I don't know if that counts for 4K versions.
