5 years warranty don't forget and as you said it's an android TV.

We will see what black Friday will offer, I don't think it wasn't very good last year.

personally hoping to see some 40/43 down to this sort of price point, not bothered about 4k or the brand, just for the bedroom.

Yes it is, but only with 2 years warranty. Rather just pay the Costco online membership fee of £15 and get 5 years warranty.

It's an Android TV. You can even use your phone to cast from BBC iPlayer for example.

I don't want to be faffing around with a phone. Reviewon Amazon said he could not get iplayer and itvhub on it which is a deal breaker for me :-(

should be able to get them, being an android TV it should have access to the play store where you can download them. Maybe not pre-installed as standard as these are mainly US - marketed TV's IIRC?

Just found out that BBC iPlayer, itv hub is not on the Google play store for standard Android TVs, it's up to the manufacturer to pre-install them, but you could sideload the APK though or an another way is to cast from apps like BBC iPlayer.

Casting isn't hard, you haven't got to install nothing else on your phone to make it work.

All you need is BBC iPlayer etc... On your phone. For example, when you have launched BBC iPlayer, you will see the cast icon, click that and then select what you want to watch and then it will start playing on the TV automatically.

I must add it works on both IOS and Android devices.

Screenshots attached showing where the cast button is.

720p is still good and it's an Android TV with basically a built-in Chromecast and you get 5 years warranty with it. This is a very good price.

Most people can't tell the difference between 720p (HD) and 1080p (Full HD) anyway

That Samsung you quoted, you only get 1 years warranty.

Saw 1080p and 720p on 32 inch displays at currys. No difference.
