For online shopping only.
Just bought this last week as a present at £250. Not a bad tv for the price. Has some good features and with 5 year warranty you can't go wrong.

Any idea how well it will perform as a monitor?

Takes Northern Ireland out of it then, no stores here! 😔

Apparently they are, but you won't be able to tell. TCL's TVs in Europe have poor processing, dim backlighting, and poor software. It adds up to a mediocre picture unfortunately.

Their US TV models are significantly better for some reason.
Kingsworth20/09/2019 13:02

This would make a horrible monitor.

Why? I'm looking for a big 4k monitor for work usage. Email and documents rather than gaming or fast moving stuff. Would this suit? Thanks

Could be firmware?

I was just waiting for someone to post up something along the lines, that this is marketing hyperbole and it's a decidedly average TV at this price even.

It's not a true 10 bit panel, its 8+FRC
Can someone tell me if TCL is worth busy? I know it’s a budget TV by the price but is it going to be similar to like Sharp etc?
Buying*
Do Costco honour 5 year warranties if you let your membership lapse?
Wait since when TCL sells in UK?

For £229, who's moaning? Wasn't long back when you couldn't buy a Polaroid 1080p for that in a black Friday sale

Oops. Sorry. I've seen TCL tellies in operation and they are decent. In fact, excellent for the money.
A lot of higher end tellies say HDR 10 when they aren't.
Just a shame they don't use stock android as the hub. Wish all manufacturers would, to be truthful.
akuakuu25/09/2019 02:12

Wait since when TCL sells in UK?

They started last year, they where posted here as they where priced aggressively compared to the established brands and where inline with some Vestels whilst being far supior. The deals went HOT!

Don't let the price fool you its closer to the mid-range TV's rather than the budget Vestels. TCL make the panels in house so have much more control over quaility and pricing.
Very outdated model with issues, new models offer much more for the money. Waste of time and money on this model. USA takes new model very soon, UK is so far behind.
38578330-xBOVf.jpgTook the punt and bought it. Absolutely amazing for the Xbox one X, honestly works perfectly. Can't believe I now have a 4k TV for such a small price. Very very happy thank you for posting

(If using for games console make sure and enable all settings on the actually TV not the Xbox console)

Hi, wasn't any left at Costco. Ended up getting at LG43UK6300PLB for £319 from richer sounds. Picture is good at any angle but like the fact I have a 6 year guarantee.
