This is not 10 bit panel
Never heard of TCL until recently - turns out they make their own panels (unlike many others who buy in) and they are the 3rd or 4th largest manufacturer of panels too.

New to UK I believe but been in states for a while with decent reviews.

They aren't mentioning whether it's a true native 10bit or a 8+2 like most other claims.
I have a 8+2 panel, I am discerning and can tell it's not as good as a top end OLED but for the money it's still pretty close.
I'm sure this will be good enough. This technology is mature and TCL produxe decent enough TVs. At this price it's a great deal.

Again horses for courses.

I had a true 10 bit LCD/LED - it was a 65" LG that I paid almost £2000 for in 2016.

Just upgraded to the 65" OLED and the difference is astonishing.

I'm sure this will be very good for it's low price, but nobody should be expecting top end results from it.
this was £299 a week ago
TCL with how many ever bits is absolutely not worth this price when its selling for pennies in the US.

My comment was more to do with value for money. TCL 43 inch at 350, Sony 43 inch at around 700 and a similar OLED at around 1500. The value isn't linear.
I personally wouldn't buy it but for spare bedrooms, for teenagers, or just those starting out in life, it's great and certainly there's little compromise for the money.

Amazon offer wall mounting as an option, suggesting you can. Other than that I don't know. But Amazon should accept returns if they have misinformed buyers.
The only reviewer on Amazon so far has answered a question today, may be worth querying that way.

freeview.co.uk/why…lay

Tcl TVs are the budget of budget TVs in America. This is the same price as Samsung and lg mid range TVs.

Amazon. New product introductory offer.

Wasn't that the none slim version? This was £399
From topuptv:-
The TCL DP640 4k Ultra Thin HD TV with Freeview Play is definitely one of the cheapest 4K TV on the market that are 2018 models. It has all the basic features of a 4K TV but a lot of comprised has been made to maintain picture quality to attain its current selling price of . The speakers are weak and it is recommeded to pair it with a soundbar, otherwise, you’ll just be dissapointed with its built-in speakers. Picture quality wise, it’s decent. This TV is definitely a good entry-level 4K Smart LED TV with decent performance. Low input lag and little motion blur makes it a great pick for video gamers. As long as you can deal with its low brightness capability.
TCL have answered a lot of questions on Amazon.
They've also confirmed their supplier page
They've 3 ranges confirmed for UK: DP608, DP648 and (coming soon) DC748

Also no Roku, this is a really stripped down version compared to what the states get. What a shame.

TCL are HUGE in the USA. In fact, the top selling TV on Amazon is a TCL, reviewed here by Linus. Looks like they're starting to sell here, will certainly be giving Hisense a run for their money.
Doesn’t peak bridgjtness need to be 1000+ for hdr 10
