This slim-design 43-inch smart TV from TCL not only looks great, but comes loaded with fantastic tech. With 4K Ultra HD, you’ll get a razor-sharp picture, while Micro Dimming Pro delivers the darkest blacks and images bursting with colour. It comes with Android TV, so you can download loads of streaming and catch-up apps and binge watch old favourites as well as the latest releases. And with built-in Chromecast, you’ll be able to enjoy your phone and tablet apps on your TV. Plus, it’s got Google Assistant, so you can change channels and adjust the volume just by asking.

Android operating system at this price seems decent. The TV's aesthetics are great! I can find very little about this TV otherwise as it's so new. I reckon peak brightness is 290 nits having found similar looking models from different regions but I've no idea if that's accurate or not until there's a proper review. If true it'd limit HDR performance.

Peak brightness on the LG 7400 is about 350 I think, for comparison. The hisense 7120 has been reviewed at 316 nits. None are particularly bright enough for HDR anyway.

Very tempted by this for the looks, the operating system and the 5 year warranty!
TCL are billed to be the next Hisense, great quality budget tvs that exceed the monetary expectations. Heat given
I have a similar TCL and whilst the panel itself is excellent.. the os and inbuilt apps are really really slow. Be better off with a Roku stick in the

Android OS?

Like a built in (basic) Nvidia Shield TV - perfomance won't be anywhere near the same, but most of the features will be there (think Intel Celeron vs an i7 - maybe a bit harsh, but no point in getting hopes up).

I know TCL are known to have decent input lag with their TV's but any idea if this one is good?

In the US yes. TCL TV's are excellent for the money. In the UK and Europe they are very different. Cheaply made, poor quality, and no better (in some cases worse) than the various home brand TV's from Vestel, UMC and Cello.

TCL are due to bring some of their US models to the UK at the end of this year though.
