Wattage: 5W.
Voltage: 220-240V.
Type of fitting: GU10 spotlight.
Life expectancy: 25000 hours.
Quantity in pack: 6.
Energy rating: A+.

Colour of light: Warm white.

Just found the same GU10 selling at Screwfix for £9.99 each! They have a couple of reviews...

If you are moving from MR16 to GU10 (a wise decision) you will need a GU10 lamp holder and they have a nice one at Toolstation which includes an earth connection cable for safety.

Yep good bulbs as well, didn't like the daylight ones though so we went with the warm ones. If this gets hot you might want to repost the HB one

Got to say that I'm impressed with the warm white LED GU10's from Home Bargains. I fitted 12 of them today and the light output is impressive. I'd say they're a cross between warm white and daylight, but still a decent bulb.

I have the "daylight" ones in the kitchen
and use the "warm white" elsewhere. I
am well pleased with them.

I've tested the Home Bargains ecolight Warm White GU10s and honestly they feel cheap and rubbish. They project a harsh white light all coming from those tiny yellow squares at the front which aren't even covered. So harsh that you don't even want to look up.

Probably won't meet the expectation of the 50W tungsten lamp but would try them out where there are low ceilings for bedrooms and living room areas. Anyone know the manufacturer's warranty details?

I need these but dimmable, any links ?

Non-dimmable.

any link nice gu10 led bulb

I wouldn't go with 3000k bulbs still too white.

screwfix do 6 for 19.99 which are 2700k, very very close to regular downlights.

Does anyone know of any led mr16 please

Screwfix ones aren't bright enough at 4w each producing around 280 lumens which is 40w equivalent. 5w is ideal if you want similar lighting to 50w GU10 halogen.

Does anyone know of any led mr16 please

No. Many people have converted from MR16 to GU10. You just need to buy a GU10 lamp holder and swap. Remember to turn off the mains first and remove the 12v transformer.

Thanks for posting. reserved for collect ion.

This deal is really hot. I bought a tcp 2 pack for around a tenner last month and the light output is warm and super bright without being in your face. Definitely going to check my local and stock up. Thanks op

Agreed, cheap LEDs of any kind tend to be terrible. Stick to a decent brand like Verbatim or Philips and you won't look back.

Even if you manage to find cheap ones that look decent, the quality of the transformers is such that they don't last. Made that mistake - bought some cheapo ones a while ago (after a recommendation on here), looked great at first but 18 months on and 6/8 have failed.

False economy.

What is the effective beam angle? I would prefer 120 more like traditional halogens as opposed to spots for picking out details

got these bulbs. great quality.

Naughty, there not bulbs there lamps you know like lamp posts, forget that nearly everyone in the UK(except some on here ) has been calling them light bulbs since the stoneage or is that bronze.
Heard that mr16 are more reliable because the electronics is only handling 12volts?

Not sure what the constant reference to these being lamps and not bulbs is all about, don't think anyone cares, even the manufacture states 'Replaces a traditional light BULB' . . . good deal, although my local store (Barrow-in-Furness) is one that has been chosen to close down so they are all currently 30% off.

Are these good for kitchen? I need 3 of them.

Screwfix have 5 dimmable for £19.99 (346 Lumens) screwfix.com/p/l…97g. Not as cheap but if you want dimmable they tend to be slightly dearer
