Please note!

Make sure you only copy uncopyrighted material or software/files you own onto these or you could feel the full force/wrath of the law

Good price for branded disks.

Why do you put this on your posts?

are these any good? i mean as in the tye dye thingy majiggy whatever you call it and the location of production singapore taiwan japan etc:thinking:

I had terrible problems with TDK DVD-R (and Memorex DVD-RW). They are obviously not compatible with my pioneer writer. I have no problem with any other brand (Verbatim, Ricoh, Maxdata, Philips, BASF, etc.). Thought just to let you know before you purchase large amounts.

I have read loads of reviews on these and they seem to be fine the problem people have had seem to be more to do with firmware updates required for their device.]http//ww…tml

I have used the cds but never the dvds so will give them ago as im getting short of disks

Never had a prob with the cds

I have used these in the 16x writer in my pioneer HDD/DVD recorder so it may be particular models / firmware that have a problem.

I'd reccomend them; my only complaint is they still have the dark blue surface that is hard to write legibly on. [Edit: apparently these now have a much lighter surface]

not bad disks, but the price sint cheap, its the usual price, they been about £12 from scan.co.uk since forever

Ordered these last week. Just came in the mail today.
Been using them for a while now. Good discs

does anyone know if these have the plain white top to print your own label on?

Anyone seen a deal on 100 cd-r's?

Mine were all quite a dark blue - great disk but quite hard to read what you've written on them... [Edit: I'm assured they now have a lighter surface:thumbsup:]

Scan have the printables ]£14.94 for 100, awaiting stock, but great value if you have the free scan delivery and aren't in a hurry...

Yep they used to be turquoise..now they´re a lot lighter in color (minty ;-) ) and they don´t have the silver swirly stripes anymore ...

See:
the one on top is the way they used to look. Bottom one is the new one. The cakebox is also slightly different

No offence mate but how many weddings, christenings and school plays do you go to a year!? This is a 100 disc spindle - what do you think people are going to buy it for? I am not necessarily condoning ripping and burning or dling and burning but from what I hear quite a lot of people do it these days. Also I again don't mean to be rude but you do come across as a bit preachy and patronising putting this in your comment. You also come across as a bit naive if you think people will stop because you point out it is illegal.

Quote from OP "Personally i prefer TDK as they are more well known hence reliable.".

I don't think being more well known makes them reliable. I have had Maxell DVD-Rs and have not had one fail. I would certainly have them again over TDK. Now in the old days of cassettes it was TDK over Maxell.

A national stationary shop in town has Verbatim DVD-Rs buyone get one free at the moment.... and I think that made them £5.99 for 50. Can't think of the name.... will check tomorrow.

what media ID do these disks have?

I posted this last week. Got expired but unpackaged the box they came in. Packing all smashed up but all 100 cd's intact, was done my play.com. May not realise i need the packaging as a gift. If any1 can help me and has an empty stack will be wiling to pay some money 4 them.

The law is wrong.

Seriously, give up with the pathetic hints and tips in deals - no-one gives a sh$t. I doubt if you've EVER 'warned' us of something we didn't already know. It helps no-one, and just adds to your pi$$ poor reputation round here.

Very hot, ordered

Umm... yah

AugQX;4196112

a while ago they were TTH02, not sure about now

They were good (reliable) when they were.... bought some a while back [dark blue with 'swirls' ] with a media code of CMCMAGAM3 (or very similar) and were rubbish (seemed OK when used initially but since had issues reading discs after a while).

They were £12 last year for 100 printables from Scan.

sounds good - hot enough..but...

Be careful you don't accidentally breach copyright or the full force of Yoda and the Wrath of Khan may come amongst you.

Ordered Tuesday, arrived this morning

The MID is 'MBI 01RG40'

>>>Make sure you only copy uncopyrighted material or software/files you own onto these or you could feel the full force/wrath of the law

******** HUH ???? WTF ?

is it now ? since when has it been illegal to make a backup copy of a dvd you own ?

NOW - I HOPE that YOU personally never record any copyrighted material of the TV, as that WOULD BE illegal.......

makes u wonder how is it legal to sell VHS and DVD RECORDERS, when the only non copyrighted material on TV is the adverts ?????

bankers the lot of em

BTW , ALL DVD-RW +RW are rubbish........... tried the all, they all stop working properly after a few writes......never keep important data on a re-writable........they should be scrapped completely......

Banjo String;4192588

I'm sure everyone knows that but I'm sure everyone also knows that as long as you don't start distributing the material you are unlikely to get caught as a result of burning it to disk, more of a risk is how you obtained the material in the first place.

You have it the wrong way around. The new ones look awful and for that alone, I will avoid these disks. How do disk manufacturers get their styling sooooooooo wrong? :x
