Set in the fictional Summerdown Comprehensive in Bristol, Teachers is the hugely successful comedy drama following the chaotic lives of a group of perpetually juvenile teachers, whose specialist subjects include beer-drinking, kebab-eating and ineptness with members of the opposite sex. Set as much out of the classroom as in it, this is a contemporary light-hearted series where the staff find their lives just as problematic after school.

They are the teachers no parent would want teaching their kids, specialising in immaturity rather than the traditional subjects. They have their own cliques, gossips and bullies and their own idea of a practical joke. Follow them making friends, breaking friends, trying to figure out the opposite sex, fighting in the playground... and dealing with lippy pupils.

This box set includes all the episodes from series 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Good price for 2 brilliant, 1 pretty good and 1 God awful series.

Interested to know which was the pretty good one. Unlike most people, I really enjoyed series 3 when Kurt and Brian came into their own.

I assume series 4 was the God awful one. I watched it but wished I hadn't afterwards.

By the way, great price.

I agree with stephenashforth. The first and second series were very good, but the third (with Kurt and Brian) was just fecking superb.. I was **** when Andrew Lincoln left but series 3 was just so consistent!

Series 4 (aka Bob's series) was dreadful though.

For anyone who hasn't seen it I really recommend it buying it at that price.

Can't agree about series 4. For me, Teachers was excellent from the start of series 1 and just got better and better.

Series 3 and 4 became increasingly surreal and 'Green Wing' - but all the better for that!

I enjoyed Series 1 & 2 the most and Series 3 was great too, it's such a shame they made a 4th Series after most of the original cast left the Show.

I believe a "Teachers" style show would have great potential for a comeback with a completely new cast if it was written well. Channel 4 will need to find some material to fill up their schedules next Summer as this is apparently the last year they will be making a Series of Big Brother.

Loved the first two series. Things went rapidly downhill when Simon then Susan left. Every time I catch a glimpse of 'Waterllo Road' I think back to this show and think ' Bring back 'Teachers': THAT'S how it should be done!'. Still a great price. Incidentally they're all available to view on 4OD.
