I would be embarrassed owning a Technica brand

I would have to hide it when the neighbours came round for drinks

He's Back !!

i agree too. the one i got which was 32 inch has nothing but problems, it just cuts to itv2 all the time. you are watching something and 5 minutes later it skips back to itv2. it also doesnt pick up the newer freeview channels as you tune it in, you put it on standby, switch it on again and the channels are gone

I've got two of these for my caravan. Can't fault them.

the irony

technika all the way for me got a 42" one about two years ago for £280 thanks to a post on this site with codes and staff discount and a 40" for a couple of quid extra-quantity not quality for me :-) good post op half tempted since my sammys on the way out, rolling screen/turns purple after a while :-/ and since it's the girlfriends gaming tele she's not pleased!

Does it have PVR function with USB?

We have a Technika in the bedroom, one of the white 19" ones, and its not noticeably different to my 21" full HD Philips TV that I use for gaming... I know Tesco used to use Samsung panels in their TV's (think they still do...) so not sure why people take issue with them...

URGENT!!!!!

If you are buying 1 thats over £200 then

USE CODE TD-RPHX FOR £20 OFF INSTEAD OF £10

I have this telly in the kitchen, and it's pretty decent. It's not top notch, but it works better than I expected, looks better than I expected, and has more features. Definitely a far better value proposition than some of the major brands at this end of the scale. I paid 100 for mine, 2nd hand but nearly new, about 6 months ago, and I consider it to be money extremely well spent.

It's 3.1 inches smaller - size matters - I would pay 15 quid more for an extra 3.1 inches...

(fnarr fnarr...)

Would love it for my study, but cant afford it right now :0(

the shame of Teknicker tv I would have to prize the badge off

love it I'm of the same ilk, people do notice brand and it speaks volumes about you, I once saw somebody carrying a 42" Hitachi tv home I rolled about laughing in the street.

Cheap, but rubbish, why not buy a £115 nodding dog and watch that instead.

Seriously, the sound is utter garbage and the epg is slower than roadkill.

Lol wonder what cars they drive if they call a tv, nothing wrong with technica, we got 32 " last year for sons room and its great, quite sad that some people think they are to good for this tv;)

Thanks OP

no USB player on that one though

For an extra £40 you can have a Samsung a world apart in quality

Link to Samsung please?

This might seem like a stupid question, but the cheaper 21.6" model has a usb port, but doesn't mention usb player. So what do you do with that one? I'm assuming the one that says usb player means you just put a video file onto a usb stick and it'll play straight away, what does the other one do?

jaja , me too I would be embarrassed owning a Technika brand.

The Black ones do come with a USB player. It says so in the description. For some reason it's just not in the title.

Ordered a white and a black one. Hot from me!

TBH You're neighbours probably want an excuse NOT to come round. So make there Christmas and buy one!

Ok the Technicker is £37 squid cheaper but is very poor in comparison don't skimp on a TV,

At 22 inches you are going to struggle to tell the difference in quality when watching freeview. Got the white one.

Plus the Samsung doesn't have a DVD player or USB playback.
