Bought this last week. Great value for a combined tv/dvd.

Sound is excellent for a slimline TV and while the picture quality is excellent all round, I'm finding it hard to distinguish between HD channels and the normal channels. It's there but it's very subtle compared to say a 40inch, or bigger set where the difference in picture quality is easily seen

unless they have improved the quality I would avoid.
brought the 19ich combis for bedrooms upstairs and the dvds have packed up on both and then it have a tendency to switch between the video sources when it feels like.
if it had a decent warranty and there is not another option gd find if there are others round the same money get that one

I've just bought one, my nephew has one, surprisingly good picture for the money, sounds decent too.

Bought this around a year ago , great tv excellent for the price.

Why buy this rubbish, stick with established brands for not much more...

Yawn.
Check the positive reviews from people that actually own it.

You obviously don't.

My Technika tv from some years ago
is now quite buggy so sometimes the Freeview stops working and you have
to off and unplug the TV for half an hour I think for it to get working again.
Also, the DVD player part has gone bad since a year or two ago
and hardly plays any DVDs, even after using a cheap "DVD/CD lens cleaner" from Poundworld.

Don't know how to fix it.
Not sure if Technika have improved in quality, guess you'll have to look
at reviews or something.

Yawn.

Rubbish.

Just wanted to add this has a PVR built in, which is not mentioned anywhere in the Tesco description. Just need a USB plugged in. It also supports the majority of video formats, unlike my previous one which only supported avi. Great picture and the software on it has clearly had some thought put into it. Overall I am extremely happy with the TV, a great addition to my bedroom. Any questions please feel free to ask me and I'll try to answer

An established brand would be a brand with a reputation for build quality not sold exclusively by a supermarket...

I can't seem to find the negative views from people owning this set on this thread, as you quote.

Please highlight them for me Dude1971 to save embarrassing yourself in front of everyone

Just to clarify anyone thinking this has negative reviews. Out of 131 reviews, 107 are 5*, 1 is 1*, 3 are 2*, 0 are 3* and 20 are 4*. Make your own mind up by reading them

The negative comment on here was a joke about a previous made in a thread ... I'm sure plenty of people remember it. It referred to a reasonably high end brand known to many as a no name brand .
