Can be made to play region A discs too, bargain.
This got 3 out 0f 5 from What HiFi at £100.
Yes i know its cheap but region A?, well worth it as a second machine.

Crap Product from a Crap company but voted hot because its cheap ..

Really good cheap player, loads the bluray disks much faster than most of the main brand players

The multi region hack is 'supposed' to be;

Switch on
open tray
press "set-up" on remote
enter 9113

An additional configure menu will come up on the left hand side of the screen that allows you to change the dvd region to any or region free. Below that it lets you set the Bluray region to A, B or C.

But there are reports the some versions of the firmware (newer one's I would think) have had this removed. So it might be pot luck if you need this feature . . .

Also appears to support NTFS as there are posts stating that it'll play .mkv over 8 gig, but is a little hit and miss for divx (depending on codec I'd guess).

Yeah I also read somewhere that the multi region changes are limited and once you reach a certain amount it doesnt let you do it anymore

Bought one for my daughter, imo great value for the money .

I put a ntfs dive in mine and it would not pick it up, only fat32 drives.

so is there a usb port on this, can it play divx and mkv straight of the usb drive ?

Odd...

I was taking the info from AVF (http://www.avforums.com/forums/blu-ray-dvd-players/1377153-technika-brss10-blu-ray-player-6.html). Post 160.

There maybe different versions of the firmware then?

It will not let you update the firmware by the ethernet port, it just says error .

Don't know if you can do it by usb ?

Just tryed a 3.5 and a 2.5 in ntfs with only mkvs on them and it will not pick them up .

You get what you pay for cant ask for more at £40 !

But it's not going to be anygood if you can't update the firmware, as some disks will not play when they come out.

cant find where to put discount code in??

have used one of these and it worked great
picture quality was as good as my £140 player and half the size too

My local netto are selling LG blue rays for £69.99.
Why pay for junk when you can buy a reputable brand.
You can spend the £30 difference in one night if you went out to the pub and then a meal.

Maybe you want a multi region player?

Most the players at the 'budget end' of the market never get any upgrades, that's not what their manufactures are about.
At 40 quid for a multi region BR you can't have everything. In a year when it won't play a few disc's get rid and buy whatevers going for 40 quid then. . .

I am very happy with mine I have to say.

Just picked mine up.
DVD multi-region hack works.
Blu Ray playback is fine. DVD upscaling isn't brilliant, but it's fine as a bedroom player for £40!

I`ll give that hack a try later on,cheers.

Seems to be refusing the code for a coupon.

That's because they've cleverly put the price at £49.97, just below the £50 threshold for the £10 off! I'd say try and find the cheapest thing on there to push it back over £50 and it should work fine!

"Tesco Bubble Lined Envelopes Small X3" for £0.90 should sort you out, or a mousemat for £0.97 if you need one!

Just bought one, and found 2 Clubcard vouchers online that I must have lost and not used that were about to expire for £5.50 so I got it for £35.37!

I just forgot, you can also get 3% Quidco cashback! Whoops!
