Awesome deal on this no-frills player. It's been discontinued apparently, so get 'em in-store while you can (photo taken this AM at Denton, Manchester).

This BDplayer can be hacked via the remote to be a region free DVD and BD player. Also supports USB stick and most file formats.

Enjoy.

It can be hacked to play all region blu-rays??
Can I ask how please?

Edit:
Switch on
open tray
press "set-up" on remote
enter 9113

An additional configure menu will come up on the left hand side of the screen that allows you to change the dvd region to any or region free. Below that it lets you set the Bluray region to A, B or C.

To be honest for £50 it's a cracking little machine and as the in-laws travel between here and Canada it means they can watch any films they have collected on their travels!

good if you can find one

This was discontinued months ago you will be very lucky to find any now.

there was one in connswater tesco on monday if it helps anyone

What all these cheap Blu-Rays show is that Sony can't blame the price of the Blu-Ray lens for the still high price of the PS3.

could you use a blue ray player on a CRT TV or does it have to be a HD TV? Would you still see the increase in quality?

BTW, I got one of these 6 months ago when they were 50 quid for the kid's bedroom, and it's been great.

Would be awesome if it wasnt tesco, even on good national deals my local take all the stock off the shelves until the deal is over, then puts it out again at full price. It has to be the UKs most tight fisted tesco.

Closely followed by mine, where they employ the same tactics or worse sometimes Staff blatantly lie in order to bag em for themselves after being made aware of good deals!

Yep, that too! They did it to me with the £20 Friends collection deal, staff said no stock but as soon as the offer was over the shelves mysteriously filled (and i do mean several shelves completely full) with the same DVDS at £40 odd quid. I think its the store policy to lie about this practice tho.

Well seeing as the price of the PS3 has come down drastically since Sony originally intimated that I'd say it was a moot point now!

the kind of players that soon or later will be sild at poundland and by the dozen pack

don't know if my local branch will have this, but if so will pick up just for the multi-region capacity of the player

If What hi fi **** this off, then it must be good!, Hot!

Got one of these for my daughter last xmas when they were on offer for £49. Really cant fault it. So just nipped to Hucknall store and picked one up - Said £45 on the shelf but scanned at £35. 2 left!

i picked a philips 3100 blu ray player (for the bedroom) for £30 from my local tescos a few days ago , multi region for dvds

not really bothered about the Technika BRSS10 multi region for blu ray, as i already have a panasonic bd80 , that plays multiregion blu rays & dvds

Want to take it apart so bad!

Would love one of these just so I could buy some Region A locked Criterion collection blu-rays... they're releasing some really good stuff over there and it's all bloody region locked!

Just picked one up from bradford canal road store thanks op

just picked one up from Crediton store, two left in 'discount area' not near electricals. no batteries included for remote but what do you expect for £35!?

Just picked up the last of these from Bulwell for a friend. When i bought the previous one, with more shopping, got a £6 off £40 voucher which i used for the player and some groceries i needed. so effectively £29 X) Also, picked up a gold plated HDMI lead from Home Bargains for £2.99 - Sorted!
