Voted hot for the price...anyone got any reviews?

Just found some messages regarding this tv on

I guess if the distortion issue doesn't bother you then it's a good buy.

Seems like a good price, voted hot....remember not HD ready though.

A good price, and I voted hot.

However, upon closer inspection it appears that this TV only has 1 x scart socket! If that's the case then it's not really brilliant unless you *really* need to save space over a portable CRT.

This here:

Is £119.99, lacks the freeview facility but has the same resolution, better contrast ratio, HDMI + component, sockets so is more likely to be useful to anyone using it with a console. Consoles via scart are simply nasty.

It's a little more expensive, but appears to have better functionality. Of course, Tesco might not have listed the extra ports on the back of their set, as they are notoriously bad at specifying their product features. Perhaps someone who owns this set may be able to comment.

What would you need another scart socket for. Only 1 for a dvd player. Has built in Freeview so wouldn't need one for a stand alone one of those.

Under £100 for a 19"digital tv that doubles up as a pc monitor, great deal.

My problem is that its only HD source appears to be VGA, which is fine if you have the VGA cable for XBox, but if its component input does not handle HD sources then it's not going to be much good for PS3 use for Bluray or, HDDVD if you have it.

So, my chagrin was that it says that it does not accept HD. I'm reading the site on an EEE PC right now, and didn't scroll down the feature set when I initially read this deal and didn't notice that it accepted VGA & components, so my bad [and thanks for pointing it out Bookie]

Tried to buy,

Xbox 360? PlayStation?, etc.... Sky TV, VCR, etc.....

There are loads of reasons why you'd want more than 1 scart socket - hence why most TVs come with at least 2

I am late out of stock.

good find

Anyone collected theirs yet?

What's it like??

I've just unpacked mine and 1st impressions are it's not a bad little set. Has all the connections mentioned earlier. Can support upto 1080i via YPbPr.

Quite suprised to find it has a USB 1.1 jack - audio & JPEG files only

Factory settings need playing with to improve picture and sound quality but for less than £100 I am quite happy with it really

Oh nearly forgot - one minor gripe is the Power supply lead is way too short !! I had a spare so not a problem for me but unless your set is within about 3ft of a power supply you are going to need an extension or a longer power lead.
