Looks like the 'designer' really went to town on this one then.

Thanks ordered 2

They are rubbish, bought one last time on offer.

its actually black, not silver as on picture and they are good, i am using one and no problems, also this is on offer for quite some time now for this price

Good price .. worth a try if like me you don't have an outdoor aerial.

Can they receive the digital freeview signal?

Can they receive the digital freeview signal?

Yes - as long as you have a decent signal there shouldn't be any problems there.

Just ordered, thanks

Ditto. Bought one and had to return. Can't get a signal at all. Replaced with SLX and got all the channels.

I've got one from last time, it works perfectly fine for me

LOL You'd get more performance from this X)

Very poor reception from these, bought one about 2 months ago and binned it.

Yes, they're fine - and have gone down in sale … Yes, they're fine - and have gone down in sale price!http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/tesco-instore-technika-high-performance-702084

Still the same price as the last time it was posted (June)

Amplification is a gimmick in a device like this - its purpose is to overcome losses in long cables and these don't have long cables.

couldnt agree more complete was of money wouldnt have 1 if they were giving them away, i also bought last time..garbage

Hot, in NI could never get digital signal with external digital Ariel, got this worked a treat...........!

Then there was something wrong with your external aerial - such as being the wrong band for the new signals. If you live in a strong signal area, this electronic coat hanger might work for you. But so would a potentially cheaper one without "amplification".

Can this receive Freeview HD?

It will be equally as bad at receiving Freeview HD as it will everything else - so take that as a yes if you like.

sounds like the ordinary aerial poundland sell would do just as good job, if not better...

It's bad at receiving normal Freeview channels? Lol.

Poundland sell aerials? Just checked their website and it doesn't look like they do online unless it's instore only...

I bought one last time, works great in Leeds

Curious to know what gives them 'high performance'...

It's a misspelling of "hyped performance".

Some typically smartarse nonsense in this thread...obviously by people with too much time on their hands pretending to know what they're talking about...- anyway, I bought one of these last time they were on offer - and can confirm that it's excellent, used it in a campervan and got a perfect signal wherever I was...which was often in the middle of nowhere......dont believe the naysayers, a great TV picture for the price of a pint. No brainer

HOT

My comments are not smartarse. For instance, if you can counter my assertion that the amplification is pointless then please do so. I presume your camper van has thin plastic walls and big windows which are not facing other buildings. Being in "the middle of nowhere" can actually help with your reception, by reducing attenuation, electromagnetic interference and multipath effects. And how do you explain the others on this thread who have bought them and found they don't work?

i want to get one but i dont know if it will work on the tv in my room? will these guarantee you good signal etc?

does it work for free view hd

will give it a go for that price cheers

Anyone that understands how antennas work will know why these aren't that great, from a technical point of view.

That doesn't mean they won't work well under certain reception conditions.

The fact that someone might find this works better than their outside aerial simply indicates that their outside antenna is not set up or working properly.
.....but ultimately if you're in a favourable location a coat hanger will potentially work.

The main reason many people won't have one of these probably comes down to the fact that it looks like a piece of dated crap.

I bought one for use at work during the Olympics - tried for a fair while to get it working and binned it. It was just as good/bad as the tiny 3 inch antenna that came with my USB Stick tuner.

got my new £49 M&S 19" DVD/LED for £49 on Hotukdeals tuesday but no aerial connection, so bought this. and used £2.50 of tesco clubcard vouchers.

i retuned with it plugged in as a aerial but no electric
no channels where found,

i then retuned with this device plugged into the mains, what a difference, its actually now got more channels than my TV with an outside aerial 12-15m up on the roof.. very pleased with this purchase, thanks op

so that proofs it evither works or doesn't..
money well spent

i live in an old house with 1m thick stone walls,

Your outside aerial is broken.
