£299 on Black Friday. Previously £279 a further £50 deducted...bargain?

I have contacted AO previously and can confirm this TV has support for HDMI 2.0 but not HDCP 2.2.

Merry Christmas!

Sorry, I'm not sure about that. But I will contact them and ask. However I'm tempted to take the plunge in case it goes OOS.

My sentiments exactly. But whatever the reason - if I could conjure one up it would be the 4K in the title.

Hey. Just had a reply back from ao. They said it's a 100Hz TV so it will do 100 frames per second.

If they said so in written, buy it, use it, if you happy keep it or send it back. Does not exist 100FPS 4k tv yet if they exactly told you that. 100hz is the way they quote the motion stuff not the real 100hz quality of the screen. It is all interpolated useless gimmick. If it does 60hz at 4-4-4 chroma (only HMI 2.0 would do that) when in use with a pc, it will a great PC monitor but you should also look at the response times for playing games which I do not think might be that good.

Yeah, that's what AO told me.

That's useful to know. I assume 4K TVs are being marketed prematurely to confuse the not so TV savvy i.e. myself. I'm on the fence about this one although ideally it's probably best to wait until more 4K content is available. Hmm...
£229 for a 40 inch 4K Smart TV is an absolute bargain. Bought it
Been holding out to buy a bigger 4K TV from known brand, cant say no to this one and bought it. This is an absolute bargain.
AO.com has got the 48" version for £339 (plus tenner voucher), didn't think 8" was worth £110 more...

Free returns within 14 days. No brainer really... lets just hope it will display 60Hz and has HDMI 2.0 as stated.
Bad if a 4k tv is not HDCP 2.2, that makes this tv not future proof!
Can someone let me know asap if this TV is 4k 60hz when they test it out ??? Thanks guys
Check out reviews on the Panasonic TX-40CX400B, basically the same TV but the Techwood doesn't have 3D. The Panny branded version does do HDCP 2.2
Worst video review ever!
Did anyone get theirs yet? i want to use it as a desktop monitor and wanted to know about chroma 4:4:4

Indeed - any idea whether it supports 4k@60Hz in RGB? I just tried another TV and it didn't.
Anyone know if it will play hevc files? Seems pointless if not as no hdcp 2.2 so only youtube and netflix in 4k then?
Its £258??
this TV is stated as having a Motion Rate of 100z the true rate refresh rate is 75hz with 25hz of interpolated black frames to reduce motion blur this is a great tv the response times i have measured is between 4ms and 7ms connected to a ps4 and a xbox one console colours looks top notch and 4k works a dream on a 4k android r8 streaming box this tv supports HDCP 2.2 HDMI 2.0
