If anyone was planning on installing Tasmota - I bought from here a week ago and they are the latest chipset which will NOT allow installation.
Otherwise these are good small smart sockets.

What is Tasmota, a quick google search and it seems quite interesting?
Weirdly the round version of the teckin plugs played havoc with my router. Having to return the plugs unfortunately.

I had to return mine for the same reason! Do you know of a similarly priced, similarly compact alternative?
However, it's a good price if Tasmota does matter to you!

I have 8 of the Aoycocr U3S Smart Plugs which I believe are a clone of the old Teckin ones with power monitoring. 4 pack was on offer for £28 last week. I've flashed all of them over using Tuya-Convert using a Ubuntu live USB but there are other methods.

I've been running a mix of Tasmota and ESPHome on them. I feel that Tasmota has the edge from an ease of use standpoint and has a more fleshed out web-ui, but I'm going to switch the rest of them over to ESPHome as it ties in nicer with HomeAssistant which I am using for the rest of my smart home setup.

You can find the Tasmota template here and my ESPHome config here.
Many thanks for the detailed reply!
The ones that are shown on the link have the shoulder to stop them snagging the switch. Do yours have that? I found this to be the only external difference between the previous Teckin SP23 that I was able to convert and the recent ones I returned.
I've got a mixture of Tasmota and ESPHome, but I've decided I like Tasmota better.
Yeah. The plug sticks out a bit so it doesn't interfere with the switches on the wall.
Many thanks! Arrived today

Many thanks, 4 of the Aoycocr U3S Smart Plugs arrived today! All safely flashed with Tasmota and added to Home Assistant.
