Fast charging, especially if you use the phone while charging generates more heat than slow charging and heat damages batteries. The manufacturers would always say no but it must do. The question I don't know the answer to is by how much.
Got one of these earlier this week, really impressive for the money, but think this is the everyday price

Thanks, just bought one I plan to keep it in the car plugged in to a spare USB socket in the arm rest. Hoping it doesn't kill my car battery, but theres loads of times I end up in my car with my phone almost dead. It would be handy to have one of these permanently charged up and ready to go with me.
Voted hot, great price, decent brand but I've got too many PB, so I will give it a miss this time.

You don't need to have it permanently plugged in.
The discharge rate will be so low that even after a year sitting idle it don't have lost much charge.
Just keep it in the glovebox.

It might be a good idea depending on the output of the car USB port and how many phones they need to charge. If the USB port only outputs 5v 500ma and this power bank sees a lot of use then keeping it plugged in wouldn't be a terrible idea.
I'm confused can you type c input this or is it just micro usb?

The micro is in only. The C is in or out.
Hey everyone something to note is that this charges my pixel 3 (via PD) fast charge at 3 amps for a small time but gradually reduce to 2amps and then 1amp at around 80% charge. They do seem quicker than non PD chargers but not as much as the values may seem. Just a heads up :-)
