I posted this a couple of weeks ago at £163 from gearbest. Not arrived yet but I'm sure if you wait it may drop in price again sometime in the near future with a flash sale. It's price was up and down like a yo-yo.

Is this a clone of Jumper EZBook Pro 3 (or vice versa) or not?

Didn't see the price difference until you mentioned that thread!

Lots of info in the previous deal and well worth waiting for a flash sale for that much difference

Do you mind if I pick your brains?

Have just bought a brand new 32gb 11.6 inch laptop. Haven't installed/downloaded anything on it at all yet. Not even browsed on it as I wanted to make sure Windows was fully up to date and secure, so I've left it on and it has tried to perform a Windows update a few times but failed as it says it needs to free up 1.12gb of space in order to achieve that update. I've uninstalled a lot of the pre-installed apps and games from the Add & Remove section but there's no way that I am able to gain the required space needed for this update as it's already down to the bare bones.

Would you be able to tell me how I can get these updates to install?

Sounds like you need to make the partition larger on the hard drive. If you've used all the space from 32gb it must be. Check in your storage settings to see.

It's only 32gb. I only needed a small, cheap one for dedicated banking. That is all it would be used for. I thought it would be fine for very limited/restricted use, but doesn't appear to be working out that way.

Edit. Oh, you've edited out the 64gb to 32gb... So what you've said still applies for the 32gb? As I mentioned above, I've not even used it for anything at all yet. It's brand new out of the box. Can I ask what I should expect to see in those storage settings. Sorry, as you can tell, I'm not very tech minded.

If I was paying £220 for this I would want it coming from an EU warehouse.

The Ezbook 3L is £181 from Italy, so no risk of tax and 'easier' to return if there is an issue. BUT, although it is identical to the F7 it is difficult to say whether the quality control is the same.

Use a windows 10 bootable USB stick

This will do a fresh install, and reformat your HDD. Once done you may want to think about disabling win 10 update service, to stop auto updates and do your own updates via USB every now and then

Type "storage" bottom left, it should come up with a settings window that should tell you what you have left. It will show up if you have an operating system partition and a separate one for storage.

Best to Google instructions on how to increase a partition, there will be a tutorial on YouTube.

I typed 64gb by mistake, when re-read I realised you stated 32gb. Windows is around 16gb in size (32 bit) so in theory you should have 10-15gb left.

He's talking about the Ezbook '3' Pro, 13.3", there were effectively 6 versions, and it was a bit hit and miss.
Whereas the one I posted is the '3L' 14.1", which is very much the same as the F7, but there is only a small amount of feedback.

As I said, although its the same as the F7 its difficult to know if the quality control is the same. People who have received them have said its an IPS display but in the listing it says TN, which makes it a bit of a lottery. The T-Bao Tbook4 again is the same as the F7 but again had issues..

Ahh, I see. Thank you for that. Think I'll probably return it and exchange it for one with more storage. Or go for one with an OS that doesn't require so much space for updates as said in another post that I'm not really that tech savvy. Thank you for the reply though. Appreciate your help.

As said to lumsdot above, I think I will most likely be returning/exchanging it for a higher storage model as I don't think I have the expertise and capabilities for all the faffing around required to update it. I really do appreciate your help and I'm grateful for your attempt at trying to help me. Thank you.

Why not just get a cheap chromebook for that?

The one I bought was the cheapest on offer on Tesco Direct at the time and also had an additional discount code that gave a further £20 off. The Chromebooks actually worked out more expensive with less Ram (only 2gb) and the one I got had 4gb. However, I didn't know until looking further into it (after the event) that Windows OS takes up more space than Chrome OS.

Apologies to the OP for hijacking your deal/thread. I'll leave you all in peace now. Thanks everybody.

Are you definitely sure they're the same? Alot of manufacturers will source the same/similar OEM parts eg. the chassis, motherboard, CPU etc, but they could be choosing to implement different components when it comes to the LCD panel, ports, USB controllers etc. I remember some of those laptops, although appearing the same, would not power external HDDs for example, which kind of suggests that the implementation of some aspects of the electronics are different.

Doesn't bother me at all. All discussion is good if it helps people improve their knowledge.
I'm not suggesting they are identical but there will certainly be quite a few parts that are the same, but there are issues, a random mix, suggesting its a lack of quality control, hence why I said its a bit of a lottery, and why I haven't recommended the 3L. Hopefully the F7 will be a little more consistent, got one on the way...

powercfg -h off
Check & re-enable after update if required.

Well that was fairly straightforward. What a great tip. I can't believe it. but this has worked a treat. I was getting ready to repack it and return it when I noticed this, Thank you so much for your help.
Yup then run disk-cleanup to get rid of all old files and installer files + lower page file for even more
I don't know if this has a tablet mode but if it does don't run a clean installation of Windows 10 you'll encounter a loss of tablet mode when folding the screen away
