Hi all, my first ever deal so please don't flame me if I do something wrong. I've been an avid user of HUKD for some time and for once I got a chance to give back to community I've been keeping an eye on this laptop for some time now as its 64gb emmc version had raving reviews.

The only issue from that version was the hard drive being too small and slow, both of which should be resolved with the SSD upgrade model now. The 64gb version came out in a bargain price around £170 but quickly increased to £250ish levels after so many good reviews.

This model came out at around £260 or so and just now saw it go down to this level, so I snapped one up!

Hurry though, as on the website it says 7 units left at this price after I got one of the 8 remaining.

Free priority delivery to UK to boot. Between 7-15 days too!

Hope this helps the community.

To be honest after missing the first time and being absolutely gutted as they have rocketed in price after the initial reviews came out. The people that brought early in the flash sale got an absolute bargain I think. Metal build, good quality sound decent sounding keyboard so light full HD. Just sounds so well built ticked all my boxes. I had thought about a gaming model then decided could steam link from my old gaming desktop and most of my games will run OK on this. I like strategy and simulators.

Anyway been looking and following ordered at this price a few days ago.

As for fact its a little more it has an added 128 gb ssd so think that's fair enough. It's cheaper than the smaller memory ones.

To the nay sayers that won't buy from China... There is a little bit of a risk built in to the cost for some potential hassle. If you want to have better warranty cover yes buy from amazon or curry's or somewhere... John Lewis maybe. Anyway you won't get anything like this for anywhere close to this price I think.

Buy a bit smart I pay on credit card or through PayPal where available and for shipping I pick the slow free ones. Had 2 parcels today from China, get maybe 6-8 a week can't say had much hassle and touch wood not had a tax bill. But with brexit and the need to modernise our posts incase don't get any agreements I expect that will change.
You pays yer money.....like the Chinese smartphones I and others on here buy we do it in the full understanding there is effectively no warranty. We weigh up the 'discount' compared to a uk supplied one and then decide if the venture is worth it or not. Most of the time the savings are so extreme that it becomes a bit of a no-brainer. But not if you are one of those people the insurance company prey on, the ones who believe everything is always going to go wrong. Then stay away. And whilst you are at it, stop preaching on every bloody Chinese supplier thread . It's not for you, we get it. Really. But not everyone is like you. Rant over. F7 ordered. Heat added.

I waited 2 months for them to send me the wrong item and when I complained they offered me half my money back. This company is bad news.

in addition, even if you pay by debit card you have protection if the goods do not arrive, are faulty....
Awful deal because if anything goes wrong, you're screwed, including being sent the wrong item!.
Buying things that are small in cost and relatively inconsequential are fine but large amounts of money for products you will be depending on and where you need a warranty .. then forget it...
Great spec for the price. Replaces the Jumper EZBook 3 Pro for value, now the Jumper has deteriorated in quality with recent batches.

Comes through Europe if you select normal post, so tax would be paid upon entry at the relevant EU country.

I've bought from Gearbest loads of times. Never had a problem.
Given the warnings from the NCSC RE: Chinese phones, I'm not sure a Chinese laptop is a particularly wise decision.
Brilliant laptop, brilliant price, Gearbest are fine.

Not really. Or at least it *will* do it but it will be slow.

A friend of mine brought one of these to a tech meet-up I had and in terms of build quality and screen quality it's really excellent - just like a MacBook. His only warning though was that the processor isn't up to much but basic browsing or simple application. It would handle PlayStation Remote Play and Steam streaming ok as the legwork there is done by the console/computer but it's not going to be up to anything intensive like video editing without a little frustration as the CPU and integrated GPU are extremely basic.

Be careful, when you click on China you are offered the 128GB SSD version, as soon as you select any of the European option you only have the option of the (inferior) 64GB EMMC version.

More stringent monitoring of the software that is or isn't shipping on the handset from factory.

You don't have to do much digging to find instances of grey imports sending packets back to IP addresses in China, given their political ties to Russia, you do have to ask yourself if it's really worth saving that little bit of money.

Well, I joined for the (now defunct) classifieds. Although, my deal posting here is actually 300% more active than my Facebook account, because my Facebook account doesn't (and never will) exist.

If everyone posted deals with such irregularity as you there wouldn't be a site here for you to moan on. Just saying....there are those that do and those who just bellyache.

Pay by PayPal and then make a claim with PayPal.

They tried the same with me when my items never arrived.

I guess it's their first tactic in resolving any sort of issue.

Even Lenovo was found to have similar software on their laptops recently, and most modern tech probably has various backdoors rhat haven't been discovered yet. Atleast with most of these cheap Chinese Android phones/Laptops you know what you're getting and it's easy to flash a stock ROM/image.

Ta, that's what I though, but it's hard to think what would futureproof it...

The idea of webpages soaking up 6GB of ram is frightening, but how many year before they do!
