BFRIDAY05UK code still valid!

This code was posted for Black Friday in a mega thread for Gearbest.

I'm posting again as that thread has since expired, but I've found that the code is still valid for this tablet.

It's also currently a little cheaper (by a pound or so) than it was on Black Friday, because of the exchange rate.

Just bought it myself as I wasn't sure I needed it in November, but I sense my ageing Nexus 7 is dying!

4GB DDR3L RAM - 64GB ROM - MTK8176 Hexa Core 1.7GHz, up to 2.1GHz

Plus, they can't have got any passwords for users who connect with social media logins.
So how much with import duty and royal mail fee?
I just got this , didn't get stung for any extra few, just went with the standard post
Great tablet

Don't forget 1% TCB/Quidco. No GPS if that's important.

What are the speaker/s like?
Poor hardware for this price. Too expensive, especially coming from China. You need to add import fees as well in this price. The cpu on this tablet is crap. Those 4GB of ram will not help it much. You can also forget about warranty or software support (future updates). This tablet should be priced at around £70-80

Feel free to suggest an alternative at this price.
Personally i'd go for the Amazon Fire. The 8 inch ones are real value and the 10 inch ones will be on slae soon.

With only 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, better of with my 4.5 year old Nexus.

3GB is better than the 2GB I saw quoted on another site - perhaps there's a couple of versions?

Still, I'd not choose this over the Teclast which seems to out spec this tablet in almost every area. And I'd never buy a device with only 16GB ROM, expandable or not.

Overall it's decent for the price - outperforms my Nexus 7 (2013) but I have a few issues...

1. It sometimes, seemingly randomly, shuts down and it takes some effort to turn it back on (sometimes I need to plug it in) - sometimes it seems like it's died but hasn't. It's hard to explain tut issue properly. Mine may be faulty - they can't all be like that. It only seems to do this if I leave it idle for a long time and come back to it, but doesn't always do it - so I now try and turn it off when I'm leaving the house, which I should probably do anyway to save power!
2. Topcashback app isn't compatible and won't install!
3. For some reason, I can't add web address shortcuts to my homescreen.

For games, web browsing and videos, I've had no issues.

Sounds like a software issue. I'd probably look at forums to see if there's custom roms. I looked at getting a teclast tablet a couple of years ago but after skimming a lot of reviews about screen problems I decided against it, I was wondering if quality control had improved but sounds like still not great. Is hard to judge when a Chinese brand is worth risking your money on, I got a lenovo tab 2 in the end and it's still serving me well after much traveling and intensive use.

The screen on mine is really good - very bright, nice colours.

Definitely have other issues though, as I've mentioned, so might have to look into fixing them at some point. I imagine the community around this tablet isn't huge though, so matt be difficult to fix issues?
