Aaaaaand here it goes, we have the first one. Now go on and tell us that the material costs for this are £0.23. How dare them big corporations charge us more than it cost them to manufacture the product!
Thanks ordered! 30% sale sucked me in for a new wallet as well

Exactly you pay for the brand. I phone 6 cost $196 to produce but sold at $649 which is a 230% markup. But millions are sold because of continuity, branding and loyalty as they are a successful company so I don’t pay attention to people like this

Just to be clear here - if manufacturing costs $196 and product sells at $649, the company does not make 230% profit on it. There is a huge amount of overheads that people often ignore. And I really mean - huge amount. A lot of manufacturers only achieve 10-15% gross margin.

I’m not sure what apple would get for an I phone 6 but for an I phone Xs they get around 40% gross margin. It cost $1,249 for the phone and (parts, labor, R&D, admin, and other associated costs) around $750 as a rough figure. according to their financial statements
Does it tell the time?

Wow, gross margin at 40% is a remarkable achievment, something that most companies can only dream of

I was worried that might be the case looking at the photo. I might get a pair of pliers on it and gently try to reduce the clasp gap if I can....
