Don't know how people can order glasses without trying them on first ?

On the same basis as clothes I suppose? If you know your size and shape suits you, where's the problem?

Easiest way to buy glasses in the world. Delivered to your door & if you don't like them you send them back & get refund. Oh by the way, did I mention you save a small fortune? Hardest part is getting PD from an optician.

When i bought mine from asda i had to go back in twice to adjust them. She adjusted them from the ear fitting and tightened the stick.
If this was the case for these, how would you explain it to them and get the issue resolved?

BACKFOR5 saves 5% too

I’ve only ever bought glasses in-store once and that experience was enough to put me off for life, pressure sales (and a multitude of additional costs for features that should be standard.. who would want their glasses to reflect everything?), inflated prices, pointless adjustments (which looked like they’d be personalised for a car crash victim).. stores clearly want you to keep buying from them which is why some try and withhold your PD measurement. Much easier experience with reputable online companies (imo)

I know a lot of people do what I do and go to Boots to try them on first and then order online. A pair of Ray Ban glasses were £280 from Boots, but I got the same ones from an online opticians based in Wales for £110. Well worth it in my opinion.

Yeah I can understand that, I work for the nhs so they say if you know the glasses number they can order you it and get it at a discount. Never done it before tho

You can measure the pd yourself. Just measure the distance from the centre of your pupil to the centre of your other pupil with a ruler.

I bought a pair of glasses from them recently but I can't see through them. Cost me £25.

What can I do about sending them back etc? Anyone had experience with them?

The sizes I gave are correct

Like ordering anything online if your faint hearted or downright fussy don't bother.

As for adjusting, the optician doesn't take the specs apart and reassemble just to fit your face. All they do is tighten/loosen the odd screw or bend the odd leg. Not hard to do you yourself if you stop to think about what needs to be done.

Thanks for posting - heat added. However, I prefer going to an opticians as my prescription in both eyes is different..

All you do is ask them for your personal prescription. Times I never have to ask they just give it to you.they are obliged to supply you.

Worth mentioning that they have a massive clearance on cases etc too, most of them being £1-5 and there are some great one there.

Where is the pair pictured?

Specky are great.

In the past month, I've bought 7 pairs of Converse, 1 pair of Ted Baker, 1 pair of Guess and 2 pairs of Armani prescription glasses and 2 pairs of D&G prescription sun glasses, in total 13 pairs!

I am probably their best customer!

I wear varifocals. The lenses are marked in a detailed way so buying online would not be an option for me.

My lenses were marked very specifically to my sight line for distance and reading. This included pupil distance and reading distance and position. The glasses also have to be worn in a certain position before they were marked.

Are the one in the above image available?

Good evening.

We also offer varifocals. In fact, we offer Freeform Varifocals as standard (they’re the best and most expensive variety that you’ll find on the High Street).

We also also offer a full money back guarantee within 30days should you decide to return them.

Perhaps you’d like to call us on 03448 20 20 20 in order to discuss it further with us?

Kind regards,

On the only occasion I had to send a pair back I called the company ( don't know if it was S4E) and the woman on the phone asked why I wanted to return them but stressed I did not have to tell her, it was a quality control question & purely optional. You won't get that at a high street optician's.

Wondering this too...

Used them a couple of times. First time a couple of years back took nearly a month of chasing to get my order. Tried them again last month and this time they got here within a week. Picked up some Ted Baker sunglasses for about £40 too.

Bear in mind the exact same types cost me nearly £200 from Vision Express (albeit I also got a second pair ‘free’) I’d have no hesitation going online for glasses again. I hate the arms being bent at the back so much prefer to order online as they’ll just come as they were from the factory
