It's out of stock on asda direct BUT when this was £9.97 I walked into my local Toys R Us in Oxford and they price matched. They are selling it for £99.99?! I showed them the link to Asda Direct they checked it in store and agreed, even though it was out of stock I said it would be the same price in store and an Asda somewhere will have them. It's a great playset my son loves it. People may vote cold but I have done it and have the receipt to prove it. How I add photo online in comments I don't know???? Posting from phone and won't allow me to. Will try from PC tomorrow

Won't vote as my experience of a price match at toys r us is it has to show as having stock
And asking them to discount £95 of the rrp when Asda is showing the wrong full price (9.99) Id be very surprised at this going through

Worth a punt if some don't mind the potential haggling and no match in the end

If you do get it bargain

oos

I was in the que longer than at the till. They can't argue if it's on there for that price. There policy is to beat any price that is a price be it correct or not but has been on there for while. I took a punt and paid off. I price match everything when in there as the include amazon too. I got a load of turtles and marvel mashers for my son and price matched a bunch of stores saving around £160. If you don't ask you don't get. I asked and I got

At the till due to the price match they had to check on there system but they came over and agreed. She showed the manager my screen shot and it was all okay?! Never had an issue with price matching this was the only time it was 'checked' maybe due to a saving of £90.02

I also pointed out John Lewis and Amazon are selling for £55. So Asda dropping to £10 to get rid of possible something they couldn't shift, around Christmas time too, isn't that far fetched. Manager said he had seen madder deals price matched when he worked in Swindon branch

toys r us price match is at the managers discretion. They have matched a few things for me but then haven't matched the higher price three times, they say the difference is too much. so it's a bit hit and miss with them

I'm going to try tomorrow! Fingers crossed, my little boys 5th birthday soon and just got all the turtles for Christmas so he'd love it!

This is there policy (US site as can't find UK variation??)

m.toysrus.com/sho…070

I didn't see (quick read) that any big drop in price would affect the price match as if another store is better price they match. End of. They won't match price errors or out of stock so the argument that asda stores are stocking them could win you it. But the argument that the drop is too much shouldn't be part of it. Like I said Amazon and John Lewis have these at £55 do that's £45 less already. It's not that far fetched that Asda want rid of the stock so getting it out the doors????!!!! As I said I got mine at £9.97 and when I can I will upload the receipt to prove it. If you know there own policy then you could have a better chance.

Did you find a foot soldier or April O'Neil?????? I've never ever seen one of either and only seen a kranng once that I brought from Wilkos and he's been wanting these since they came out.

PS don't try and buy a load to sell on as they will only price match 2 things max of the same type but in this case I wouldn't push your luck

Hot if you can actually get it at that price bought mine £58.99 I think Black Friday Amazon deal. Was about £78.99 and briefly went £100 ish just before Xmas on Amazon.

The point I was making was the rrp is £9.97 on Asda and it's never been that
Toys r us said they don't price match online retailers

Managers discretion plays a big part but price matching a sale for £4.99 just isn't worth it in their part

I got mine last year in the boots sale £40

I managed to get robotic footsoldier from wilkos plus alot of the new figures. Amazon has the april oniel figure its over £15 though as it rare

Ordered one of these last week at £9.97 then it immediately said oos and its been oos since, hoping it is actually the lair as further down the page the description changes to just a turtle figure! Waiting to be picked up at my local shop.

Your Toys R Us is rubbish as Botley Oxford matches Amazon so long as the seller is Amazon, Tesco Direct, Asda Direct all of them. Think the manager at your local store could be talking **** as I've never had an issue. Even taking pictures only phone of shelf prices in other stores or Argos screen in there store???

If you read the feedback some have said it's not a real figure. I emailed Hasbro as I've never seen a Foot Solider of April ever and only saw and brought a Kraang once. My son loves the darn things.

It's still not right that those figures seem to have been 'limited' so sites of eBay seller can sell them for a higher price, where as American toy shops still have them in at $8.99. I'm havering my wife's friend who lives in LA get some and send them over. Result

John Lewis and toysrus both said no because asda are oos :-(

Hi thought I'd let you know I've finally got one today. I left it oos in my basket and it came back in stock for a nanosecond! Thanks I will have one happy little boy :-)
