As this only needs 1 spoonful of oil I very much doubt it's likely to create a "chip fat inferno".

When the motor fails and burns ya house down, don't say we didn't tell ya :whistling:

Tefal Actifry catches fire, reveals TV’s Watchdog housewareslive.net/new…283

As these things apparently catch fire, and all reviews seem to say the same thing, WHY are they allowed to keep making them, I would have thought dangerous electric items would be banned?

I've had 3, none of them have caught fire, the fan stops and the electric element then burns out...

They are £89 + Vat at Costco if you have a card...

I remember seeing these reduced to £79 in Boots a year or two ago, and thought I'd wait to see if the price came down further...how annoyed am I!

That's reassuring then :? £300+ down the pan :whistling:

We have had 2 from Argos and both have broken within 6 months of having each one, we gave up and make do without. When it was working it was great

i liked the advert for this on tv..... but with a price tag of over a £100 and these poor reviews i think ill wait till tefal put right the obvious faults that are being talked about . those chips on the advert certainly do look yummy though

Nope, as it has been replaced each time under warranty with no fuss at all....

Plus costco now have the new black design ones in stock, which I think have been redesigned due to the problems, they are £89 + Vat so only £102...
