I believe that this was the machine featured on Watchdog a while back. A number of people had problems with the thing essentially ending up burning out some components....or something like that...fire.....something of that description.

Nice idea though...shame really.

If the fan fails it does not auto cut off, unless they have modified new versions.. Shame they did not recall them.

You're not going to vote because it seems a good price?!

Without trying the code myself cos I don't want my house burning down, the code is only supposed to work if you follow the link on the price comparison website. All the better if you don't have to do this but I couldn't be bothered to try and my lunch break is now over :x

A truly "smoking" deal, not sure if it's hot though.

The Hot/Cold voting is about the price of the item, not the quality which is why the other member is confused

I know Comet is £1 more but is it not worth the extra £1 if it means you can buy it instore today? And also, if you have any problems with it, it makes it much easier to return.

I was referring to the poster who said it was a good price but was not voting.

And regarding it being found £1 cheaper, please see my previous post:

Laskys is not Comet's online company. They are not the sale company at all!

in which case id have voted hot on the basis as its a good deal price … in which case id have voted hot on the basis as its a good deal price wise.however as previously stated there's no way im gonna buy it with its safety record-which im sure is a reason lots of people voted cold on this...hence i stated im not gonna vote.

I understand, but as I said it's purely the price you're to vote on, putting any other factor into it will make the site inaccurate which makes the information on it less valuable to everyone. It is better for you to not vote in this case than vote cold though, so Kudos to you!

If for reasons I can't understand, you really feel the need for one of these, they are £89.99 +VAT=£103.49 at Makro at the moment.

That is up to you.

I was just genuinely happy to share a deal for people looking to save a bit of money and pick up one of these cheap. I did not know anything about the alleged safety issues beforehand, and I do not condone Tefal if this is the case. I posted this simply because it was a good price from a High Street store.

I am also disappointed that people are voting cold because it can be found £1 cheaper from another online retailer. The whole reason I posted is because I know not everyone shops online and some people wouldn't mind the extra £1 for the chance to buy in a High Street Store where they can actually see the product before they buy it, and acquire one there and then.

What a load of rubbish:p so anything even crap has to be voted hot if it’s the cheapest price it can be found for:whistling: For me this site is about other users experiences of any item I am interested in. But in saying that I try not to vote cold:thumbsup:

Thank you shaneomac. Rep added to you.

Just to comment on the device itself, we have had one for some months and find it a brilliant kitchen gadget. I saw the watchdog program and thought it to be very sensationalised (as wd often is) and can only say that ours has performed without any hint of a problem.
Despite liking it, it is overpriced for a glorified fan heater, but it is almost oil free cooking and we are considering buying a second one.

That may be what you want but the Heat of a deal is for the price, the comments should be about the item, I have one of these, I think it's great so if the price was good I would vote hot, however someone that thinks it's crap will vote cold regardless thus a good deal on this item is a cold deal which confuses matters.
