Cheapest I have seen this in a good while..

Not everyones cuppa I know, but I am pretty happy with mine and I know a few friends who bought one at just under 100 quid mark in Argos recently who also are happy.

May help someone for a last minute present

Not sure why so many cold votes... anyone tell me where its cheaper?? Ta

Not sure its cheaper anywhere but I've always thought these were very overpriced for what they are. Even the deal you've found is a lot of money for a small rotating fan oven :-\

I think (not 100%) it was the same price in currys not so long back- that could be why.?! Dunno- hukd is a strange place sometimes

the black one is supposed to be better made and that was the same price last week at amazon

For me the chips taste more like fried chips than ones I have done in oven.. Also tried the Phillips but Ididnt like that one and returned as it didnt turn the contents so didnt cook so well in my opinion..

I did say not everyones cup of tea but still cheapest I have seen and lowest price I can find at moment whilst looking to buy one for a friend for Xmas.

Bought this last week arrived not gift wrapped with a broken box rang amazon and got some money back

sounds good op. thank you

is this not CRAP??? fried chips should be fried chips, lol

these are great just break very easy ive had 3 of them

im not voting either way,but i had one of these, what a heap of crap,a massive footprint on the work top,a nuisance to clean and not that cheap to run.mine was passed on to some poor unsuspecting family member.if you want healthy chips just buy oven ones and save yourself nearly a hundred quid.

not deep fried though so healthier i guess

Airfryer much better imo, just needs a quick turn half way through cooking.

Saw a one to this on Stephen Fry's gadgetman other day. Wanted one since. Great timing

Looked at reviews for these devices after seeing one on the The Gadget Man show with Stephen FRY (haha). Very mixed reviews about the construction of the units themselves (get very hot, bits get burned off etc) but the more worrying reviews said chips etc can be almost raw when they stack up on top of each other.
Of course as with all these things, many other users said they were the best thing since.....well the last best thing !

You didn't put enough oil in there mate, my chips don't normally come out so burnt X)

not much of a deal if the product doesn't do what you're looking for and for me, this certainly doesn't.brrr, chilly

Apparently the Philips ones are far better, so go for them if you can.

Either way these airfryers are great. Frozen foods come out 10x better than they do in the oven, with less fat in them, and in half the time. Home made chips require spraying the oil onto the potato first, otherwise you'll just have a soggy brown chip.

They only stay raw if you don't have the common sense to shake the basket every few minutes.

The ActiFry doesn't have a basket though.

Depends on what your looking for really, if I am looking for a PS3 game doesnt mean that a XBox game is cold just because it wont play on my PS3 (i.e. do what I want) lol...

The Amazon reviews arent really mixed imho out of 790 peoples reviews 77.59% give it 4/5 stars

Thats just how I like em. Guess chips are like toast some people like em pale others dark lol

This product certainly is a love or hate... Its had 148 hits for heat and has at this point reached 283 degrees, a deal the other day I had managed only 91 hits for heat and hit 321 degrees.

What I hadnt realised is this is not only a deal site, but a site to vote on if people think this is a worthwhile product.. sometimes seemingly without even trying it out which in again imho is a little ignorant/narrow minded

Fantastic device. Best kitchen appliance I have ever bought.

But, I'd go for the 1.2kg version for a tenner extra.

I love my actifryer. I cook everything in it! Spaghetti Bolognese, curry, fried chicken etc and chips :-)

Heat from me

I had one of these and it was great until I walked into the kitchen one day only on about its 10th ever use to find flames 2 feet high on my countertop. I quickly put on the oven gloves and carried it outside still on fire. It burnt for about 5 minutes (I have photos. If anyone wants to see). The flames reached at their peak well over a metre. The whole thing scared the heck out of me..

When I called Tefal they told me it had happened quite a lot but affected only 1% of users and decided that they'd as a goodwill gesture give me a new one for only 70 pounds! I took it back to the place I bought it who offered only to swap it. After selling the new one on ebay I still feel guilty that someone might burn in their house.

Avoid like the plague and go for the Phillips one

That said my parents have had theirs over 2 years with no problems.

The spontaneous combustion issue was with the first gen. model and has since been fixed.

I want one of these. But would it sit in the cupboard with the toastie maker.:|

But what else can you do in these things bar chips? I keep asking this question everytime these things pop up on offer an noone replys. Can you do stir fried veg and burgers etc....?

KHAAAN!!!

Well I bought one of these from Amazon and it's the best £89.00 I've ever spent!! Chips are brilliant, taste fantastic and are very low in fat! What more could anyone want?

I think I will wait for the reviews for when the newer model is released.
