Is this better than the Phillips airfryer..I have been debating the two for a while.

Nice find op n excellent price:)

Wow - that's excellent!

Great deal. Thanks for posting. Could you confirm which model it is please ?

I've had both the airfryer and the halo, personally I prefer the airfryer - it takes up less counter space, cooks evenly, had a time and heat control, heats and cooks quickly. Found the halo chips not very nice - food tasted more dries out than cooked. I use the airfryer most days - for topped bagels, garlic bread, sausages, bacon , chicken

Thanks for posting.

Thanks that's really useful. .how long do chips take in air fryer. ..as we are a family of 2 adults and 3 young kids...

Wish I had room in my kitchen for one of these

Which model please

none in Cambridge

Been debating whether to buy one of these or a deep fat fryer.. Does it actually work?

I thought paying £99 the other week was a good deal, nice find

But, is the airfryer better than this, the ActiFry?

What do they do? Atomise a spoon of oil to cook the food in a super heated chamber?

dont know about the air fryer but we have had an acti fry for years. If you are making your own chips with raw potatoes then we find they usually take around 45 mins if using frozen then around 20 mins depending on thickness. I would however recommend purchasing the family sized one, we have one of these now and it is much better, we found that we had to make two lots in the normal sized one which was far too time comsuming, we also have two adults and 3 young children in our household. The main benefit is it had a paddle that keeps the food moving around so you can shut the lid and just leave it to do its thing without messing around pulling things out of the oven to turn everything over. This is a great price for the small one though.

also great for other foods you can just chuck it all in together once you get times mastered, makes chicken nuggets and chips for the kids very easy.

no they simply keep the food turning in a heated chamber thus keeping the spoonful of oil evenly coated over the food so it can do its job. We use light olive oil so its even healthier.

This doesn't have a timer right? So you need to manually turn it off?

There is litterally no point to these things. Use an oven. Saved you some money.

a fan oven...

You put oven chips in an actifry and they don't dry out like in an oven, they come out of an actifry as if they have been fried but with no oil needed.

heat added good find

Make sure you get a good guarantee, we have had to get ours repaired and replaced several times

Cut a potato. A drop of oil and seasoning. Put in the oven for same amount of time. Save yourself money on pre packed chips and an overpriced fan oven! Just trying to help

And while the oven is on... You can coool whatever else in there too! Rather than cooking chicken in a mini version of what you already have.

60 minute timer that beeps when its done, the old smaller one we had kept running though after the time was up however the family one we have now shuts itself off.

your view sounds as to be coming from a person who does not own an acti fry, i can honestly say that as an owner of two of these over the years i would not be without one. We have had chips in the oven as you say but believe me they are not as good and need much more oil. This is the nearest to a deep fried chip i have had with near no oil, they do vary though depending on the type of potato used. I know a family friend who was told to change his diet for very serious medical reasons, the trouble was he is an older man who will not eat what he calls 'foreign foods', mad yes i know but he is set in his ways and his diet mainly consisted of chips with everything. Advised his daughter to get him one of these and without changing anything else has lost around 5 stone since.

good find

We use ours all the time - they're great

Sainsburys Clitheroe and Burnley do not have these as smaller stores that do not carry this item.
Sainsburys Colne have 2 in stock.

Hope this helps someone

This is a fantastic price! The Tefal actifry is a fantastic piece of kit. Cooks food evenly and can asessig with diets, e.g slimming world. Just think home made chips that are syn free, it's like a dream come true!

has the reliability got better on these now? i bought one of their first models in 2012 and it broke after 3 months. was a big issue at the time.

Thanks, got sorted in belfast! Been looking for a good deal on one for ages!!

went to walsall store and the girl didn't know what i was talking about??? so must have only been a certain stores:(
