love my actifry wouldnt be without it now

Actifrys are great but they have lousy build quality.
Three year warranty £19.99, You would be mad not to take this because there's no way an actifry will last this long.

Clicked on this without reading the title, just saw the picture, expecting it to be a cd player/ipod dock!

Thanks Buzz, no blurred photos for you today

I like how they got the work Health in to the title of this product which gives the suggestion this product does something to enhance your health, in relative terms it means it's not as bad as deep fat frying but it doesn't mean it has a positive impact on your health. Cutting down the frequency of ingesting or cutting out fried food altogether would actually be more healthy.

This is actually the correct definition of one Scottish calorie "The time it takes to heat up and eat 1KG of chips"

Scottie from the engine room can be heard saying "captn she canne take any more calories"
Edited by: "fishmaster" 22nd May 2014

that's too long to wait for chips for 4 people

Seriously - 2 hours to cook chips for a regular family dinner?

The link takes you to an actifry for £99 not £89

Description: 'All it takes is a healthy spoon of oil'
lol

I have Philips airfryer and a halogen , anything this would do better ?

it takes approx 15 / 18 mins for a kilo of frozen chips medium size , and you do not need any oil if they are frozen ! they taste great , i would not be without it

About 40 minutes for chipped potatoes to cook and around 20 minutes for frozen - you do not need to add oil with frozen chips as they are already coated in oil. Excellent product... mine has broken after about 4 years,,, think i kept overfilling it so out too much pressure on the handle which has now snapped wouldn't hesitate to buy again though - but don't know whether to go for this one or pay almost double for the family one that does 1.5kg

I wouldn't spend £20 on that. It's mad to think in normal use these shouldn't last those three years: if they were to break in this reasonable time, I would complain and get them to repair/replace them.

If you need a machine just to cook chips... You're probably eating too many chips.
The best chips are homemade. Peel and slice potatoes, par-boil, shake to drain and fluff edges, spray with frylight and cook - perfect and much healthier!

keep your halogen oven , forget the rest. I'm serious!
Halogen drips fat off vertically which is more efficient at getting rid off unwated food fat
G'Foreman drips fat off on a slope ( less efficient fat drain)
Halogen Fan circulates the warm air , ensures food doesn't dry out and stays succulent
I haven't used my G'Foreman in a year!!

Hi just tried to look at this item for £89 but as you click deal its coming up @ £99 with Tesco direct :-(

Use the discount code "TDX-TH6W" at checkout

save yourself the cash - chop a spud into fat chips and throw them into a resealable bag with 2 tablespoons of oil. give them a good rub and then throw them on a baking tray. job done. better still, use sweet potatoes.

1 teaspoon of olive oil vs multiple sprays of frylight....i'm not so sure you know! Which is why I am tempted by one of these actifrys...

I do chips your way currently btw.

Thanks having being waiting to get this at a cheaper price
