30-40 mins depending on how crispy you like them and the amount being cooked.

I do like crispy chips - 40 mins is quite long.

Then I suppose this should be compared to an oven instead of a deep fat fryer.

I bought this and will never look back, i used to buy oven chips. Since buying this i went from oven chips to home made chips and i'll never look back. If you apply your own amount of oil (not the green spoon that comes with it) to achieve nice crunchy chunky chips, it should take between 30-40minutes, approx 20mins for frozen chips. The only downside of the process is the noise, it can be noisy at times. This is a must buy you'll not regret it!

The good with them is they don't need looking after.
Fill it up, prep whatever else you're going to cook and go watch TV for a bit.
One of these and a george foreman, perfect for anyone single.

How long do these last? A friend had on fail just before a year old, then the second lasted just over a year so they wouldn't replace it. Was he unlucky?

The results from the actifry are great, but the build quality of them is atrocious.

Saw this at ilkeston tesco same price bought it tried it took it back total rubbish compared to halogen ones with rotating bowls or stirrer does NOT crisp roasted potatoes but might be good for other things depends what you want it for
Good price though

Mines coming up to 2 years old. So far I've only had to replace the paddle which I was a bit heavy handed with whilst cleaning.

I can get it in £84 from very as I have £25 off Boucher. They selling in £109. The question is if it enough for a family of 5 ( 2 adult and 3 kids under 5).

We just received our second replacement from Amazon today, first one the plastic window lid cracked after a few months and the fan gave up on the second one after 10 months. Fair play to amazon for replacing although second time had to argue for replacement having been offered refund and the cost to buy another would have been more than original. Great kit when working though, we use it a lot!

would its normal varrenty ( one year as all products) not cover replacements?

normal warrenty with tefal have to send away or to be fixed or you can take t to a tefal service centre... or deal with who you have bought it off... but you will use everyday ... so pay extra .. i paid £33 extra for 3 years warrenty at argos ..if it brakes n 2 years time get a new one ..so worth the piece of mind ..hope ths helps

The price gone down to £94.99 at amazon. I tried to edit the post but message comes " we baned deals from this merchant on hukd.
