oven chips are nothing like home made ones, would rather wait extra 15 mins than have cardboard chips

Tefal Actifry or the Phillips Air fryer?

I have had an actifry for years, wouldnt be without it , my sister had an airfry and the chips were awful
Philips type Air Fryers are much more versatile than Actifry. More delicate foods like fish fingers get broken up by the paddle in the Actifry. Can't understand why people find air fryers difficult to clean. The basket and bowl on my Philips are both removable and can even go in a dish washer.

I have the expensive tefal and it takes 20 kins for a full bucket of chips... not only that they taste 1000 times better than from the oven. From the very first time you have chips from a tefal youll never go back to oven chips.

Things to avoid like above has mentioned are fish fingers and things like turkey drummers. They just get turned to mulch.

But chips which is basically all i use mine for are so damn good and u dont even need to add oil to frozen chips as they already have it on them.

Totally agreed. Love mine. It probably take around 20+ mins to do whole chips.
Thanks for this our old on packed up recently and I couldn't go back to chips in the oven after using these.
How many (decent size) portions of chips does this one do ?

Tefal bowl are also removable and easy to clean.
So at best this is a chip maker of limited size ?
I have ordered one. Saw the Curry's deal and even went to store but they would not open one of the boxes to see if it came with a snacking tray like Amazon's version says it does. Plus if I bought it then returned it opened (even if unused) then you cannot return it.

The description reads:
  • This Air Fryer features a "Snacking tray" to cook a variety of healthy snacks

Tefal Actifry or the Phillips Air fryer?

Actifry has a special system for rotating food itself, thus frying it even from all sides; a feature that Airfryer misses. On the Actifry the temperature is a constant of 338 degrees of Fahrenheit whilst the Airfryer allows you to set the temperature between 180 and 380 degrees. On a Airfryer you can actually see the food being fried.

Too good to be true - that's the flaw with ebay

Wished the Actifry 2-in-1 would come down in price as the Actifry is good for chips whilst the Air Fryer is good for fragile items like fish as it does not have a paddle.
