Not the cheapest, but what about 3 years Replacement Product Care for £19.99 if T&C's allow?

Was wondering - what makes these better than halogen ovens that you can buy for less than half the price? Can't decide between getting actifry or simply a halogen oven

hot, had one for years, no problems and still making great chips!
Never had an issue with mine...2 years now.

Had mine a year now and I love it, it's my favourite ever kitchen gadget. The only negative thing I would say is that I wish it wasn't so noisy, and the timer on it is rubbish, I used the oven timer instead.
Here's a radical idea. Chip some potatoes, toss them in a little oil (I prefer olive oil + rosemary), put them in an oven. Turn occasionally and bingo - chips! Cost = £0.

If in a rush then use oven chips.

I never knew oil, potatoes and electricity were free?
Also by this argument I'm assuming you don't have a kettle either? Seeing as you know, water + pan + hob = free boiling water based on your logic

That would either get you, roast strips of potato , or some oven chips.
Actifry crisps up chips like a fryer does plus they are bone dry. No oven roasted chips turn out like that as much as you want to kid youself

Also who wants to open an oven 'occasionaly' and turn loads of chips over!!!
Plus.. the price of cooking oil these days, and the tiny amount an actifry needs would make its money back in oil use over a year or so if you have them often.
