I have a Bosch steam generator and love it - only ever iron one side of clothes as the steam pressure effectively flattens both sides in one go. I also have the iron set much cooler, so I guess it would also do less damage long term.

Brilliant! Bought, thank you.

Yes, agree these are very good and the key difference is speed. I've found it is almost twice as fast as normal iron.

Whilst it might be £10-£30 more than a standard iron, think of how much time you spend at the ironing board over the course of 5 years and you will probably be saving a day or two of your life to do something fun with!

ordered mine.. hope its as good as the reviews say..

Ordered aswell, couldn't resist at that price. Am rubbish and slow at ironing, hopefully this will help me

always wanted one of these. hope they are as good as the reviews say.

Anyone got this one? Read some of the reviews and a lot saying can't see water tank so don't know when water is about to finish and then you have to switch tank off and wait for it to cool before you can refill. And apparently water finishes quick too!!??

to anyone that has this is it continues fill as in can you take the tank off the tank to fill it. or do you need to wait for it to cool down before you can open the tank to add more water. Thank you.

The other tefal I am currently using does not have transparent tank as well.Always check water level by shaking tank to know before ironing.Just top up water always .

so in regards to my question you can't fill the tank when and as you need to you need to wait for it to cool before adding more water. unless someone who has it can say otherwise.

Are you into ironing biz ?.If no, you won't finish the water at a go while ironing. I use a tank at a go to iron 10 sch shirts, 6 sch trousers, 2 jumpers and 2 sch blazers .Its a very fast iron. You don't spend much time to get cloth smooth.

That's great.

Can't seem to find any other major store selling it (just for comparison). Is it a discontinued model from Tefal?

Been looking for a steam iron but going to give this a miss due to following points although it's fairly cheap:
1) small tank compared to others
2) need to let it cool down in order to refill
3) can't see volume of water

April fools joke of a price.

I think you'll agree everyone had different needs. We are a family of 6 hence a lot of ironing needs to be done and I easily go through 2 sometimes 3 litres of water in one go as I don't iron regularly. just because a non continuous full would suit you doesn't mean it will suit me. I currently have a bosch steam generator and have been using it for over 6 years and mines got 5 bar pressure. This would have been good to keep as a spare in case mine decided to break down as it's getting old.
The amount of ironing you're doing in one go is nothing compared to how much I'm doing my sessions are well over 2 hours of ironing as I hate doing it no matter how nice the iron is.

so to answer no im not in the ironing business and the small tank will not suffice me. I'm happy for you though that it does

No offence meant with the question of laundry business .Am a family of four but don't do all ironing at a go.May be , it can work as a spare for you.Anyway, you can always take 5minutes break to cool down and top up the tank. As you so wish .

Also, does anyone know if the compressor thing that makes the steam is as noisy as the older ones? I have the Pro Express model and it literally rattles the floors when it charges.
Also, the water tank is a daft idea if I've ever seen one.

non taken, I'm just pointing out that everyone has different needs and a 700ml tank is no where near sufficient for the amount of ironing I do.

oh and if I take a break I won't go back to it lol I seriously hate ironing and making chapattis they're my worst household chores. I'm just waiting for the rotimatic to come out in the UK and then hopefully I'll never have to manually make a chapatti ever again. now if only I could bribe the eldest to do my ironing.....

rotimatic now that I will pay good money for..

The wife has ordered me one.:(

Does anyone have any opinion about these;

Being a single dad with 5 kids, I'm looking for a different option than spending a whole day ironing each week! I was glued to the Ideal World channel in the early hours this morning watching a demonstration of this. Thanks and sorry to put a non relevant post in the thread.

no idea how you look after 5 yourself, I'm knackered with 4!

regarding the hot press I have absolutely no idea if it's any good but if you buy it let us know.

Birthday present for the wife sorted then ;-)
