Can't beat steaming veg!!! Tastes far better. Heat!!!!

I have this, it's great

I've been using electric steamers for years and agree the taste is much better using this method and over cooking is much less likely than boiling! this machine is excellent and has lasted longer than any other I've used. excellent price I'd recommend this!!

Can this be used for sterilising feeding bottles :-p

I used it for my baby's bottle after I bought new steamer.

How long does it take to steam veg in one of these things?

It depends on which tier of the steamer you're using. I put potatoes in the bottom veg like carrots in the middle and veg like cabbage that doesn't need much cooking in the top. Overall about 35-40 mins depending on quantity. Incidentally I no longer peel potatoes or carrots(a wash if dirty maybe) and they do taste quite different !!

Depending on what you're making, I would say between 15mins to 40mins.

Do you always have to put the plastic bowl into the number 1 dish?

I'm struggling to work out what the little plastic bowl is for really...
