Have been watching these for a while now and almost bought one from Currys at £119

The Tefal Oleoclean Pro fryer is unique: it filters the oil by itself. Once your frying is done, turn off the appliance and turn the dial to "automatic filtration". When the oil starts to cool down, it will go through a sieve before being drained into the oilbox underneath. Thus, your oil will always be clean and can be used many times.

Deep-frying with Oleoclean Pro is a real pleasure, its capacity of 3.5l allows you to prepare up to 1.2kg of food. It has a stainless steel removable bowl and is equipped with an on/off switch and a digital timer. The lid can be used during cooking with a permanent metallic filter and a viewing window.

The fryer can be dismantled easily and is very easy to clean as the bowl, lid, frying basket and oilbox are dishwasher safe. Oleoclean Pro is a semi-pro fryer with a cool zone and an immersed heating element. It is definitely the best Tefal fryer for French fries lovers: powerful, convenient, ingenious and easy to use. It has all you need to prepare perfect French fries and delicious fried meals.

Features:

  • Automatic oil free filtration
  • Clean oil for each use as it's filtered after every cooking period
  • Digital timer to monitor cooking easily
  • Can be fully dismantled with diswasher safe components: bowl, lid, frying basket, oilbox
  • Model: FR804

Thanks Creatzy, I’ve been looking to get one of these and holding off for a decent price. Even with buying the Costco online membership for £15 it’s a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

Heat added and bring on the deep fried deliciousness!
thanks op, looks good even with £15 membership (£90 total)

I've submitted the pricematch to amazon, hopefully they match it so I can get it delivered quickly.
Has anyone got one of these ?
Thanks. Ordered. Hopefully the reviews on Amazon mentioning oil leaks are due to over filling and not a design flaw. Heat.
Now somebody try convince me that this isn't like a billion times better than a sous vide!!!
Good price. I have the smaller one and it makes a big difference to oil quality/flavour after frying different types of food. I normally use it 5-6 times with very good results. You can keep the oil in the filter box while washing the rest of the pieces in the dishwasher. Some advice here: wait at least a couple of hours before filtering/draining the oil to the box. For some reason, the very hot one is more likely to leak out....

Had mine for almost 2 years. Really good, takes couple minute to heat up. Easy to disassemble and clean, with a simple oil disposal using the filter and drain so doesn't become messy.

Definitely recommend at this price. Almost half of what I paid then.

It's not a pricematch but rather a 'request', amazon will review the request and adjust their price accordingly if at all.

Advise is not competent as oil will not leave/ transfer into bottom part/container until its reached designated temperature. So, yoy don't have to seat and wait, just flip trigger into filtration mode and leave, soon temperature drops it will start process.
About filtration - it doesn't filter the oil at all, yes it will stops big chunks but is not such as micro filtration.
Generally speaking: it not small, yes its handy/easiest way to store whole unit with oil. Soon oil migrated from top to bottom, put main pot and frying net/basket and lead into diswasher, wash by hand heating element, dry all, put all together and store away.
Leakage - is no leaking at all (in my case) by using it almost a year. Only small part of oil does come out between storage pot and frying pot on connecto, because it doesn't fit tightly due to high temperature plastic will may be damage, they left a little gap purposely. So, do not tilt it and you will be fine

Competent or not, just sharing my experience after more than a year usint it: When I just put it to drain just after frying, it leaks some times. When I wait, it never does. Based on just one fryer (mine), so not statistically relevant, although similar incidents have been reported by other buyers in Amazon.

Amazon has just dropped it by £20 to £100 so Costco still much better price.

I have a commercial fryer, holds about 8 ltrs of oil.
I mainly use it for chip's but fish and fish fingers are nice done it it. Used to deep fry sausages, they cone out nice and remind me of when I was a chef in the Falklands and I'd open the kitchen at night and cook sausages and chips for evening snacks, lol.
Anyways, I digress, I've seen people cook chicken portions in there, not me personally 😋 spose you could seal a joint in there prior to cooking in the oven. That would seal the juices in.

I've used it to cook real samosas and spring rolls for my son's birthday party, bought fresh from a friend of mine whose family had an Indian takeaway, they were amazing. I've made old school potato fritters too that were fantastic and onion bajis too after going on a cookery school course at a swanky restaurant where they used smaller versions of this. Frying food is a method of cooking we shouldn't ignore, if you want a Wagamama style katsu chicken then it gives you this. I've not mastered fish & chips yet and I prefer the convenience going to our local chippy, but for the very occasional use of a deep fat fryer, without having to compromise and compare the food it cooks with an air fryer, then this is great.

Catch a lot of fish and my favourite way to cook it is in beer batter. Been making do with shallow frying In a deep pan which is a bit of a pain so this fryer being able to go in the dishwasher and storing the oil seems perfect. Probably have a go at stuff like doughnuts as well. All in moderation of course

Where do you work? Wondering if we get a discount in NHS
Bought this last year from Amazon for £75.
Its been great.
I like that the oil is kept in a sealed container when not in use and you can easily wipe out the previous dregs with a paper towel so you dont get burnt bits building up in the pan.

Standard manufacture warranty and Costco if you are not satisfied with product or membership you can get a full refund.

Depends on which trust you work for and what scheme they have setup. The trust I work for have employee benefits scheme with Vivup and E points. So anyone in the NCA (Northern Care Alliance) can benefit from these offers.
Please note, not all items are on their website and if your not bothered about next day delivery then it's perfect.

Not sure if serious
The compact version of this has been reduced from £99 to £60 on Amazon if anyone interested
My friend has one and it’s fairly good. I used it a few
times
Goodbye waistline
Each to their own but I'm surprised how many people still used deep fat fryers at home!
