Does anyone have one of those and if so, what are they like to clean. The outside seems overly complicated with lots of nooks and crannies for grease, etc to collect in.
I have previous model ( smaller version) I only clean the plates with soapy water and once in a while give it a good wipe with damp cloth as it generally stays clean.

Plates and drip tray go in the dishwasher, everything else just a wipe over every now and again with a damp cloth.

I bought it for the cooking from frozen setting.

Yes very easy to clean, plates and drip tray are easily removed and can go in dishwasher. The back is easy enough to wipe and clean. All my family use it for various things, it’s been a great buy. This is a fab price too
Love my Optigrill, I paid £130 over a year ago and still worth every penny.
It’s pretty easy to clean. I’d recommend wiping it down with a kitchen towel while still warm otherwise any grease/fat will congeal and make it harder to clean.

I bought an Oxo Good Grips grill brush that cleans it thoroughly, but it’s still enough with a sponge.

I looked at this but it was too expensive at the time, and then the Costco Cuisinart grill came along for £60 and I bought that instead.

In comparison between the two I believe the Cuisinart is the better product. It comes with two sets of plates ribbed and smooth for paninis - the Tefal is not suitable as a Panini press for this reason. You can bake biscuits on the cuisinarts flat plates not possible on the Tefal
There's no temperature control on the Tefal it's a set of pre programs which probably do have a temperature in the manual, but I prefer to know and set it myself.
The Cuisinart and several other brands open flat to give a huge cooking surface, it's possible to use two different plates for eggs hash browns and the ribbed for sausages & bacon.

It's no longer available at the deal price, but it is available for £85 at Costco which is still a lot cheaper than the £120 RRP. If you have a Costco card it's certainly worth consideration as an alterative.
Fairly easy to clean, no dishwasher here so good old sponge and soapy water.

I’d suggest popping into Curry’s and seeing it in the flesh before ordering online, it’s BIG, and there is a smaller one available.

We always put paninis in the optigrill... I quite like the stripy panini look I’m sure it tastes the same 🙈
The same price at Very, but you could use £50 off £100 on first credit order, or new customers get 10% off ay Very with code PAQ7P.
One of the few gadgets that I have bought that I use regularly, I cook bacon, steaks and toasted sandwiches mainly. It does cook the best steaks you will ever taste at home as it seals the steaks and keeps them moist.
Very easy to clean, once cooled the plates just come off to go in the washing up bowl, I use just a semi-stiff plastic brush and hot soapy water.

If you want to dry them quickly just wrap them in a towel and stand them upright, other wise just let them stand and air dry.

This is a very good price, don't compare it with the George Foreman stuff this is far superior.

I’m buying this from very soon you think it’s worth getting their 4 year warranty for £17.99?

I also bought the Costco Cuisinart grill, used it to make burgers which came out great but the grill turned off after about an hour and refused to turn on. Got a replacement from Costco which did the same thing again after about an hour. Don't know if I was doing something wrong or not, but I returned it and am now considering this for an alternative.
Very attractive price, I was looking at their super grill as it's smaller and was less expensive than this! I've tried several GF types but the non stick always fails and get impossible to clean. Made the mistake of buying a Hairy Bikers grill which is worse than useless! I guess it's the usual " you get what you pay for" hope to see a deal for the Super Grill!!
Got it from very. Not bad for £61 with 4 year warranty

With Curry’s you have 2 years warranty on this one.

Yes I'm aware of that, but it doesn't tell you what the temperature is just a colour bar indication.

Good call on the brush! Just ordered 2, one for me and one for my dad as we both have an Optigrill. I've been going through so many non scratch sponges cleaning mine
This seems like the normal price now across multiple outlets
I’ve had one of the smaller ones for almost exactly 3 years (just checked order history with Amazon). They are brilliant and we use it a couple of times a week. I have replaced the plates once, they aren’t that expensive from Tefal, I’m sure it was due to the way that my wife was cleaning them that we had to do so. If my current one broke, I’d have no hesitation in buying again.

I find the plates don’t get clean enough when put in the dishwasher, so usually hand wash
