However if I did order and it was pants,I would send back.

Tefal Actifry good,I've got 1 and thats got mixed reviews too.

I took mine back as it was ok for coffee but as the water doesn't boil tea tates all wrong, and as I drink tea in the morning which is when your in a rush it was no good for me. When I took it back to Argos they said a few people had bought them back.

Can I ask if you've found a cheap place to buy replacement filters for it please mate?

TIA

Chocs

Ok for coffee. water doesnt boil so complete waste of time for tea (unless you're one of those strange folk who put the milk in before the water!)

how do these save the planet? they DON'T. simple way of not wasting energy - only boil the amount of water you actually NEED! :w00t:

if people had brains then your last comment would be correct...and hey! I put milk in first! :w00t:

I really don't like hot drinks cause I can't drink them when first made... they are just too hot for my mouth. I think this could work for me.

same as me, mainly with tea. but the coffee tasted nice as it was quick to boil.
i wonder how much the filter cost then

Wouldn't bother buying one of these folks.....
I had one and had to take it back cos it leaked......so dangerous. But the problem with them is that they are very noisy, and as others have said - the water isn't hot enough for a proper cuppa.

same here.... my gf wolfs her tea down!!

what store was this, is it nationwide?

I had to take mine back, you can not use them for making baby feeds (milk) so i would have had to buy 2 kettles... also, i did not like how much it spluttered. was worried about burning myself!
but still hot as as a great price for those that want one!

Now if anyone finds ]this cheaper, please let me know...... a quick cuppa, with egg on toast :-D

Had one since they came out and think its great. I admit water does not get as hot as a kettle but have had no problem with it making cups of tea good find.

it was at gallows corner , romford just off the a12

These are ok for 1 cup of tea but any more than that and you might as well boil the kettle as does take a while a fill a couple of cups. The water is hot not boiling, therefore your tea goes cold really quickly

bought one of these from costco a few months ago, took it back today funnily enough, I paid £41.11 for it.

1) water is very warm not boiling
2) noisy
3) difficult to make 6/7 cups at once
4) spits water everywhere!! the water dribbles out and it splashes out of the cup, not fun.

Waste of time.

Voted cold. It's **** and we took ours back for a refund. If you're a member of Costco they sell these all the time for £37ish.

so it's a really small kettle? for £40?

Online price at Tesco Direct is £20.00 more.I had one of these contraptions and I concur with every bad report made. I took mine back to Currys, a refund was immediately made with the comment " The stockroom is full of faulty ones". Enough said. Keep clear!!.

I'll vote hot for the price but the product can't be a replacement kettle.

For instant coffee I'm sure this is excellent but for tea you NEED close to boiling water or it won't infuse. Also forget any kind of sterilisation - not that I sterilise much, but I'm sure someone does somewhere

People who like their drinks to be HOT will find this product a disgrace. Cold deal just like the water you get from the device.

I don't like boiling drinks either so I have the sense to add more milk as it makes it taste nicer anyways....though if you're on a diet or can't drink milk then a dash of cold water works well too.

Seems like a good idea for a product (though not new as you can get water coolers like it already) but it doesn't work as advertised so not worth spending a silly amount of money on a flawed product....I was tempted when it first came out but the price (and lack of reviews) stopped me from buying it and now that I've seen the reviews I wouldn't even buy it for a tenner. >_

Not only does this kettle boil just the right amount of water it also uses 50% less energy in doing so. Excellent device although a little noisy.

don't get one
the plastic thing that holds the water is flimsy and breaks
it vibrates along the kitchen surface and spits water over you when its pumping out hot water
the water isnt hot therefore you dont get a proper cup of tea, you need heat to get the flavour from the tea bag, i had mine about 8 months and you have to replace something, i decided not to bother coz its useless,

i would only recommend it if you are keeping your kettle. its not a replacement.

I can give reviews on these for good and bad points.

Bought one from Tesco about 6 months ago as the wife has bad wrists and unable to lift the kettle. It lasted 2 days, the heater element packed up and had to have a cup of very cool coffee in the morning but luckily we have a backup kettle.

I took it back for a refund, they then came on offer in Makro so i thought give it another go and this one has ben fine for about 4 months now.

People say it not hot but who wants to scold themselves first thing in the morning after waiting a couple of minutes for the kettle to boil?? Also tea is brewed fine never had any complaints from visitors who are regular tea drinkers.

Sure people were feeling like this when the Combi boiler was invented which uses a similar idea lol.

I would say worth the money cheers poster

Yep a kettle that doesnt boil.

Suppose if you eat lots of pot noodles they might be worth it but for anybody who appreciates a good cup of tea it's a no no.
