Better buy a pressure cooker. This is just a glorified rice cooker.

That's the exact reason I'm looking at it. Seems like a good rice cooker.
I have this and it is an excellent rice cooker. Also used the slow cooking and porridge functions, which work perfectly well too.
I'd buy it as a rice cooker alone, the other functions are a bonus.

This is three times more expensive than a normal rice cooker.

I don't know about 3 times, but yes it is more expensive. Knowing how good a rice cooker this is I'd buy it as I say for the money and the other functions to date have all worked great too.
Just advising my experience as an owner...

But it still cannot beat a pressure cooker. You can cook rice in a pressure cooker and much more which you cannot do in this . That is why new digital multicookers like instant pot come with pressure cooking function as well unlike this one. I could not justify the price and my kitchen space if I bought one.
I have one of these, and it's VERY good. Cheap rice cookers are worse than useless, but this one cooks perfect rice every time. Heat added.
I've asked before but still I fail to get it right.

What is the correct amount of rice to water and time for 2 people (wholegrain or wild rice) - if you want to cook for 4-10 people then the instructions are fantastic, but it's not just a simple as factoring it down!

Great as a slow cooker though, we use it all the time. One setting though, low only from what we have gathered.
Don't say I never do anything for you.

spend a little bit more and get a electric pressure cooker, they cook perfect rice in 3 to 4 minutes plus a few minutes for the pressure to go down and they do a whole lot more besides rice, google instant pot pressure cooker recipes and you find out just what they can do

1 plastic cup of rice
2 plastic cups of water

It says that on the instructions book on the text above the table.

OK thanks.

Not on my instructions - I've had mine for a number of years though, maybe they have updated it - there is definitely no instructions for only 2 portions in the instructions I have, just looked at them again there.

What about the timing for the 1 cup/2 cup?

edit: or never mind then, I'll just guess lol
