The Mini-Compact steamer in black and stainless steel is a clever kitchen gadget which enables you to to cook healthy meals easily. You can cook a number of courses all at once, making cooking dinner a lot quicker.

The steamer has three tiers and a seven litre food capacity. It features the Aquatimer, which controls the level of water needed for each ingredient, and stops cooking when the water has run out.

These are rubbish. Plastic will eventually crack and it steams much slower than a traditional steamer that goes on the hob. You'll also get sick of the space it takes up or the packing it away each time. Just buy a normal stainless steel steamer.

I've had a morphy richards steamer for about 4 years and its used at least once a week. Personally - I find it more convenient than a pan on a stove - it steams quicker, you don't have to worry about the pot boiling over and a quick rinse and you're done. I find steamed rice much better than boiled and you can steam your veg at the same time.
