Tefal steamers are rubbish and fall apart within 3 months if you use them daily and then Tefal want more for the replacement parts than the steamer costs. This steamer got bad reviews when it was a current product however different it looks and much it costs. I know, because we got to the point where we were buying a new steamer every three months (Tefal were saying wear and tear on the parts and I couldn't be bothered to argue).

Buy a Prestige A La Carte Electric Non-stick Cook N Steam Multisteamer from Amazon for less money. Look at the reviews for what is a low key product.

Then buy a 60 min countdown timer you plug into your socket for £4 including delivery from an auction site and you've got a product that does much more, much more reliably:

We've used ours every day for more than 18 months and it still looks and works great.

Tefal steamers are cheap rubbish.

i have this steamer and have had it for about 2 years, i use it 2-3 times a week and have had no problems with it only it is hard to wash up as bits of food get stuck in the mesh baskets.
