Although cheaper, it's not really comparable to compare new and used items.

Why's that then? As soon as you put this new bundle in a case it'll be "Used". You want the highest performing PC you can get for your available budget - given the choice I know which bundle I would prefer.

These are customer returns. And higher spec than the OP. All of the "Used v good" items i have had from Amazon have effectively been open box.

Because it just isn't comparable. Higher spec and lower price it maybe, it's not comparable to compare a used item's price and a new item's price. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Used it bound to be cheaper than new.

.... nonsense. Both the sentence and logic.

"It's not comparable to compare" - this sentence just doesn't make sense. Comparable means to draw similarities for a particular purpose. Eg oranges are comparable to apples in their approximate shape. Oranges are not comparable to apples in their texture.

An fx 8320 brand new is comparable to a fx 8320 used where the functionality of the CPU is not impacted within the time frame the product is to be used. Given the average lifetime of CPU these days (7+ years) buying second hand is perfectly fine (gpus are different due to bit coin mining).

In addition, the deal is terrible for people with a clue otherwise it's fine - the company is making a modest profit on the knowledge it has regarding compatibility of pc components and is selling a service to its consumers (folk that don't or can't be bothered learning what goes together)

Nonsense. This site is about getting the best for your £. My bundle options are better than the OPs - and I believe he acknowledged that with a "like".

If you want "new" poorer performing goods (aka coldukdeals) there are lots out there - Amazon warehouse is a legitimate alternative to "new". Especially with the added bonus of an extra 20% off, the 30 day no quibble returns, and a 12 month warranty. So what's the benefit of "new"?

More performance for less cash. An easy and fair comparison to make.
