I’m hoping the answer is yes. I don’t see why not. As it’s an Amazon device and not a third party audio actions in routines should work too. Other 3rd parties can’t do either of these two things
Can one of these be used as a chime for a ring door bell?
Using the NEW5% code, for the hard of thinking (i.e. me). Helpful review here: https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/9/21001146/amazon-echo-flex-alexa-smart-speaker-review-price-specs-features I've bought one to act as an additional control for my dining room lights. I have 9 smart spot lamps and lots of different scenes so it's helpful to use voice control instead of the Alexa app on my phone.
Kind of, in terms of sound quality, the echo dot is better. The flex does have some flexibility, there's a USB port that you can use to charge a device or you can add attachments to it that allow it to work as a motion sensor or nightlight (those are 2 separate attachments). I replaced the Echo in my hall with one of these with the motion sensor and was thinking about getting more (I'd like to get one for kitchen).
