I’m hoping the answer is yes. I don’t see why not. As it’s an Amazon device and not a third party audio actions in routines should work too. Other 3rd parties can’t do either of these two things

Can one of these be used as a chime for a ring door bell?

Using the NEW5% code, for the hard of thinking (i.e. me). Helpful review here: https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/9/21001146/amazon-echo-flex-alexa-smart-speaker-review-price-specs-features I've bought one to act as an additional control for my dining room lights. I have 9 smart spot lamps and lots of different scenes so it's helpful to use voice control instead of the Alexa app on my phone.

Kind of, in terms of sound quality, the echo dot is better. The flex does have some flexibility, there's a USB port that you can use to charge a device or you can add attachments to it that allow it to work as a motion sensor or nightlight (those are 2 separate attachments). I replaced the Echo in my hall with one of these with the motion sensor and was thinking about getting more (I'd like to get one for kitchen).

But you don't have personal experience in "any" room do you? For example you have no idea what my room looks like in shape and size and how my 65" C9 looks in it?

Sibling jealousy

Someone posted one on an LG C9 thread last week. They sent a screen shot of a price match + RS price beat and they got the 65 E9 for £1839. If I hadn’t of seen it, I wouldn’t have believed it.

£1399 plus cashback, 24 months interest frer via paypal & free Sky Q for 18 months( Cash equivalent £48 per month.) Would have been foolish not to.

No I couldn't find anything either. I disconnected everything last night and switched off the mains. This morning theblight is still flashing, speakers off keeps randomly flashing up on the screen. I have reset it and everything else I can think of....I will call Richer this morning.

Think you’ve been very unlucky there. No suggestion of that type of issue in reviews

Well, just over a month old and faulty already!! Flashing power light / every button on the remote only brings up a "speakers off" message on the screen. Richer better replace it... I knew I should have stuck with Sony, last Panasonic anything I will be buying.

Hdmi CEC is the setting that turns the TV on when you turn your sky box on. Try enabling or disabling that

Anyone know how to stop turning on random appliances when you switch AV channel? Is it simple the vierea link?

Does the LG TVs run on android ?

I was going to get the B9 at £939, but opted for the C9 when it was £1,129 and I wasn't sure about 4k HDR 120Hz on the B9. However, I've confirmed with both LG UK (email) and LG US (chat though VPN) that the B9 does support 4k HDR at 120Hz therefore the main differences are: C9 is apparently better out of the box, but many B9 owners say it's great so it could have been screen lottery. C9 is better with gradients and shadows but this is most noticeable with standard or more likely heavily compressed content. Apparently Prime video compress a lot, but I've never used it so cannot confirm. Netflix obviously stream depending on what you pay for. The C9 has 1GB more RAM (3 over 2) which makes navigation faster, according to reviewers. I guess this also future proofs it further regarding future software, firmware and processing updates. The a9 is also a better processor than the A7, which is noticeable in the gradients and shadows mentioned earlier, but not in good quality content. Also found this useful as it had some info I didn't spot in reviews: https://medium.com/@tvevaluate/lg-b9-vs-c9-vs-e9-d2965b968216

Can I ask if anyone has an opinion or the LGC9 is worth the extra over the B9?

I've actually for the same Shure!. They are both great yes the kz requires much more EQ to get right and the Shure a lot less.

I tried loads. KZ sounds great on paper but sucks! Sound is ok, but they fall appart. Shure on the other hand, my SE215 is going for years and still sounds better than an KZ I have heard.

Mine arrived btw. Brand new and sealed and confirmed genuine. They sound amazing

Never buy earbuds/headphones where you can't swap out the cables. That's a lesson I had learnt. (y)

They can be as good as you like at the ear end, the plug will always fail

Great headphones sound wise however the cable is poor. I had a pair and the cable just started to come apart after 18 months. It wears thru where it goes thru the loop on the speaker part and comes apart. Come with two year guarantee so keep your receipt etc

Thank you , ordered (was looking at exactly the same one in argos about 2 days ago around 80£ so HOT HOT HOT(y) (party)

Great deal on these new cans. I have a pair and they are very good. Nice and comfortable and much larger soundstage to the old PX cans.

Yes as good at noise cancelling and better sound imho. Sound has punchy bass very large soundstage. Good mids sometimes a bit energetic highs.

Better than the Sony WH-1000XM3 Headphones?

Also available in silver. Richer Sounds should price beat by £5.

These seem a bargain at £75. The advertised price is £79 but another 5% can be saved using the 5% off headphones. J Lewis price £119. The price on the sennheiser site is £169

No need, the codes are on the web site, 5% headphones automatically added, the first purchase offer is on their home page.

I've owned these for over a year and a bit, they really are great with superb sound quality even when making calls. I've used these on my daily commute to work on average at least an hour and a half, five days of the week but after a year the battery no longer holds as much charge so I have to recharge every night. The battery now lasts just over under two hours this is probably due to my usage but something to consider if purchasing.

Thanks Nicebob, would you mind PM your codes? The 5%off are for first order, applied automatically.

Don't think you can stack the discounts up, I originally had both codes in my post but the mods wouldn't allow it. So had to take one off. Worth trying thought.

JL won't match. Also Tekzone offers 5%off on first order, that's £4off.

I couldn't resist any longer and bought the TV and it's awesome. Perfect for gaming too my PS4 Pro loves it

Thank you very much i have now added this to my list Toshiba 55X9863DB lol but the lg is still in there thank you

I have this exact TV from this recent offer Pros: Great Image Quality Great inbuilt sound Great Price ( original price is much higher ) Good Viewing Angles due to IPS display Cons: Blooming is TERRIBLE in dark room and dark HDR content. Overall I am happy with with purchase but if you are going to buy this you *must* accept you must manage (I.e turn off) the local dimming on HDR content in a dark room. The way I do this is a separate colour profile for a dark room where I turn off local dimming. Trust me blooming is so bad on dark HDR content it is impossible to watch in a dark room. That said I would still recommend this TV if money is tight. For me it was and I'm happy with the hassle of having two profiles. If I had a choice I would save 300 more quid and get the C8 OLED.

i do not think this rgbw only earlier models any one able to confirm this. Any one got one wanted to know about the bloom in dark room. I have looked at lots of Russian videos seems to me it shows up more because its just lighting the object instead of the whole area from top to bottom, Can not make my mind up this or samsung nu8000 or even the costco hisense 58"

Looks a nice TV especially for the price. Been waiting for a Samsung QLED to come out at a similar price to this but I might just get this instead. Personally prefer LG anyway

Yes just connect the transformer direct to the doorbell and use your google homes as the chime. All the door bell really needs is power

Does this set up work without a previous hardwired doorbell? Could you hook the transformer up to the Nest Hello directly, rather than to a chime like you did?

To update, I did need a transformer I went with the plugin one that someone else has commented it was £15.99 on amazon and I just wired it direct to the wires in my chime and disconnected the chime. I have google homes in most rooms and they work better than my old chime. Its been running 24 hours now works great wish id bought one sooner. Infact im so impressed i would definitely consider the nest cams when my current cctv cams die.

Mine is fine. No idea what your talking about

Do not buy doorbell if you have an iPhone as the alert you can not change and you do not hear it. Nest are aware and dont care.

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Series 2 On-Ear Wired Headphones in Black - Recertified Seems a good deal

As much as I love B&W for home theatre, I found these headphones disappointing. Not one pair of headphones has come close to beating my 12 year old Sennheiser HD25 MkII, as much as I try to find one.

Sold out this morning- £1000 must have been bargain?

As I said previously best to get direct confirmation from LG if possible. All the other Soloco agents have links to the LG promotion and they are all selling it around the £2000 mark. The promo is due to end in January and I would expect the price to drop accordingly. Whatever Tekzone are saying sounds a bit too good to be true hence why this deal has been voted so cold. Good effort anyway. That said this TV shouldn't even be £1499 it's not that great and there are better alternatives.

It’s not listed on there site but they did tell me today they were soloco and said they supply likes of selfridges

So long as Tekzone is a Soloco agent then you should be OK but where on the Tekzone site is the link with Soloco stated? Generally on the product page it should say 'Sold as an Agent of Soloco Ltd'.
