yes this would handle most games :-) apart from the likes of game loft 3rd person shooters it may struggle but minion rush isn't a high graphical game.

Anyone know if this does dc-hsdpa or if it's standard? Got an iPad 2 wifi but want a 3G tablet

Not a bad price for a 3G tablet! Anyone know if custom ROMs exist for these devices?

damn knew I should have waited I got a samsung 3G tab off ebay for a present and it cost me £190

is this any good? for just general web/video use etc

Actually the specs are better than what the op put on, the resolution is much better, only concern would be support as not any revies on this. Pity.

cant it be updated to 4.3 then?

Telefunken is a German company so built quality of it might not be of concern, specs looks pretty good for this price as well, but no reviews found online also Telefunken's website there is no tablet category in their Products, bit weird.

Worth a punt

I preferred the Telefunken U47. Much more interesting machine ;-)

Not researched this but in the case of this tablet, Telefunken is probably a bit like Grundig, Blaupunkt etc. The name MAY be the only quality thing about it.

I actually have one of these tablets. It's not bad, solidly built, screen is decent etc. For £99 with 3G, can't really complain!

Anyone understand French? looked on Telefunken's website, no mention of it, but if you search MID1001, then you will find a different company, obviously rebadged.

I haven't tried the google translate on it yet, but might be worth checking it out, or maybe we could have a comment from a Polish speaker.

Not really that much different between the versions of Jelly Bean and most of the Google bits are in the Play Store.

Still, £99 with 3G. I'm tempted... gah

BTW website appears to be telefunken-electronics.ru/pro…480 - in Russian for some reason!

The polish one doesn't seem to be for the same one looking at the specs. Different processor and android

In 2011, inexpensive tablets , also called " tablet with discount " made … In 2011, inexpensive tablets , also called " tablet with discount " made famous in Poland. Not all such devices were worthy replacement for their WAY and more advanced brethren , but do not run out a few good substitutes. One of these devices were prepared by Manta . A year later, the market gets refreshed line of affordable tablets - including MID1001 Manta PowerTab 10 " HD .The first impressionadvertisementOne glance at PowerTab 10 " HD and immediately see a qualitative leap compared to models such as the PowerTab X MID06 . Manufacturer clearly modeled on the iPad and the Samsung tablet - the tablet has a finish reminiscent of higher-end devices (such as having a metallic color " border " ) , the quality of the material used for the production of housing is better than previous models . Fixed include the quality of the buttons (on / off and change the volume level ) - something that limps in cheaper tablets . This of course is not the level of Apple or Asus , but it is an improvement. As always in this type of devices , do not run include HDMI output , microSD card slot , micro -USB port and headphone output .Leap second can be seen on screen translation - on board we have a capacitive 10-point screen with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels and a diagonal 10 - inch . A huge headache for the cheaper tablets were very mediocre, and sometimes simply have poor screens . In PowerTab 10 " HD this problem no longer exists - the screen is closer to the level of " the Way " devices. Importantly, the effective angle of view is beyond reproach . This is important because in a competitive , cheaper tablets new generation (eg 7- inch tablet Tracer OVO 2.0) is the worse . device has a processor A10 ( Cortex A8 family ) clocked at 1.5 GHz and GPU Mali -400 . Unfortunately , the processor does not have a dual-core . Added to this is 1 GB of DDR3 RAM .How PowerTab 10 " HD performs in practice?PowerTab 10 " HD is running Android 4.0 (for now there is an update to a later version .) System is working properly , better processor copes well with a higher resolution screen . Here there are no major problems. All the basic applications in the field of communication , use of Internet and social networks are working properly . As it happens with Android - sometimes something crashes , sometimes slow , but it's a "sad standard" .Test Google Nexus 7 - an alternative to the iPadTest Google Nexus 7 - an alternative to the iPadGoogle Nexus 7 is a strong competitor to the iPad. And one of the best tablets on the market. Here's our test of this highly anticipated by many devices . read moreWhat about the more advanced graphics operations ? Result checking application performance, Quadrant Standard Edition , amounted to 1,993 points . Specific results are: CPU: 1349 ; Pam : 3938 , I / O : 3158 , 2D : 400 , 3D 1118 . This type of results should always be treated with a certain distance (eg, by comparison, made by the application , the Galaxy Nexus would be a little stronger ) , but the number of us came out . We checked the game . Popular " Dead Trigger " to automatically select the minimum graphics settings . While playing these settings could observe a slight decrease in the number of frames of animation . However, at the highest graphics settings , the game went much slower rate , decrease the number of frames of animation was very noticeable . It is difficult to count on the performance level of devices with Tegra 3 and Tegra 2 and even But on lower settings can play .The third aspect that has improved is the battery - this model features a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh provides up to 4 to 5 hours (depending on screen brightness settings , applications, we use ) or as well as several hours of standby time . Especially with the other previous times differently in low-cost tablet - sometimes the battery could discharge very quickly, even if the device is in standby mode. Here is better , therefore, should be to write about it .Test Summary PowerTab 10 " HDFor example PowerTab 10 " HD you will see that affordable tablets in the last year passed the same qualitative leap , as his time more expensive device. Today , if anyone is thinking about buying a cheaper tablet should be taken into consideration only the latest projection equipment . Spite of this it should be keep in mind that this type of equipment still is not better than the iPad 2 (and later versions only ) , Transformerów Asus or other high-end tablets . it is simply impossible. same as buying a computer - a cheaper equipment is also not 'll play on high settings in the extended graphically the game.We should remember , however, that a year ago we did not have a choice of high-end tablets at more reasonable prices. Today PowerTab 10 " HD you can buy today for 699 zł (probably with time the price will be lower .) For about 1000 zł find iPad 2 with 16GB memory . Therefore, everyone should consider before buying what they really looking for.PROS+ Resultant good price and quality,+ Screen of 1280 × 800 and execution .Cons- A shame that there are not two cores ,- Android for now in version 4.0.Specifications PowerTab 10 " HD : CPU: A10 , Cortex A-8 1.5GHz , Mali -400 GPU -accelerated 3D OPEN GL V2.0 Operating System : Android 4.0 RAM: 1GB Memory: 8GB/16GB Flash Screen: 10.1 " HD LED , 1280 x 800, capacitive 10-point (Multi Touch) Internet: WiFi 802.11b/g/n Card Reader: MicroSD max. 32GB HDMI 1.3 Standard 1 x micro USB Built-in 1W speaker Video: 1080P HD to Camera : 0.3Mpix front and rear 2.0MPix Support external 3G modems Battery: 5000mAh Time : Up to 4.5 hours Dimensions (W . / H . / Long . ) : 266x176x10.3mm Weight: 587G

Isn't 4.3 or 4.4 supposed to make devices with 512mb or 1gb ram more smooth?

I think from 4 they started to focus a lot more on optimisation then pushing features, KitKat is the one your thinking of with the performance increase for lower spec devices.

Any word on screen sensitivity?

I tend to find tablets of this nature have really poor sensitivity and the corners are very dodgy.

good price for the spec but I have been put off by the weight and battery life.If they state up to 6h with power management, in reality it could be something like 3

npower is a German company who are synonymous with poor quality.

That said, if screen is really okay, as people on here (1) have testified then this deal blows even the moto g £99 deal away.

So you reckon this is built in Germany do ya?

Yep looks like another case of badge engineering - buy up the rights to a once reputable brand name then put it on a cheap'n'cheerful Chinese device.

You'd desperately need a reliable review before buying one of these, otherwise someone might get a disappointing Xmas present.

Looks like this was posted on here couple of days ago, didn't get very Hot.

hotukdeals.com/dea…312

Love the way the box video review consisted solely of unboxing, quote ironic isn't it?

These Chinese chip manufacturers withhold source code because they are all scrambling to promote their own ARM implementations. Better foundries like Qualcomm and Samsung aren't so secretive because they are more vertically integrated in manufacture. Put simply they customise their hardware more meaning their software/firmware is not nearly as valuable to its competitors. Which is why I like the Moto G so much.

I'm not saying this will never get beyond 4.1, just it will take a lot of fudging parts of competitor's 4.2 3066 ROMs to make it happen, possibly hindered by this devices currently non existent user base.
