Daily Telegraph....that's why

Something kind of satisfying about the personal-privacy campaigning, Brexit-loving, anti-EU rag the Telegraph having to give away a Google (tax base Ireland) Home (privacy only really enforced thanks to strong EU laws) just to sustain its subscriber numbers because most of its reader-base are dying out or getting their news from Google anyway.;

It's a hot deal, of that there is no doubt.

Funny how all these lefties are getting excited about a google home but hate the 'Torygraph' and then taking a tax avoiding product from google. As usual, as ever, hypocrites!

be careful with these deals, ive been stung before on crap like this with WIRED, promised a withings smart watch and it never materialised and i got fed some nonsense line....

Certainly not interested in something that constantly sits there listening in to everything you say, but as you say, hot price - heat added!

How much could you sell the home thingy for? Don't want or need one but if I can make some money on the back of the torygraph I am in!

its back up to £129 now everywhere...

OK ... I hate myself for signing up, but it is a great deal. They better honour it!

Apart from recent reductions it has generally kept its price though. Not checked whether it is back up again but it is probably still much more than £50.

This is a no-brainer. Probably safest to pay with Paypal then cancel the advance authorisation once they have taken the payment.

True and good if you were planning on getting one anyway I suppose but wouldn't rush and get one just cos it seems like a mega deal I.e. only saving 27 off lowest price not like a 70% off misprice worth grabbing if you barely need one

See above was referring to lowest price it's been recently (and to 77)

If only they did this for the FT

Thanks

I've gone for it. Just hope it's the proper Google Home and not the Mini version.

If I pay with paypal how do I stop the recurring yearly sub being taken?

Good offer, although the Telegraph paywall was easily defeated.

Trials and monthly subs don't include a gift so if you've set up the wrong one you'll need to call to cancel and setup annual instead.

Prime offer ended and has been replaced by the Google home so ignore any prime references

The old wall tricks don't work anymore

This Telegraph x Google relationship is rather annoying for me.

Half of the articles that come up on my Chrome feed are Telegraph Premium ones and I don't want to pay, but the Google home for £50 is pretty enticing.
