Great price - cheers OP!
And while it may seem a lot for a pillow, an average person spends 8 hours of their day (1/3 of their life in bed) and I for one would like to spend that time on the best mattress / pillows / bedding I can afford

£68 for a pillow...(confused)

When you get to a certain age or have neck or back problems you will pay anything for a good pillow especially one that lasts.

Great price and a great pillow, better than the old versions of the dunlopillo but dont think they last as long as those old ones.
I suffer from insomnia, back, shoulder and neck pain, I had my last pillow for 5 years which I purchased from Dunelm, whilst it was half the price of the tempur its made me realise how important it is to have the correct pillow, I dread to think how much I've spent on pillows over the years trying to find 'the one'. I have had my eye on this pillow for over a year, mainly because of the price pre savings. I'm so happy to have purchased it at a lower price and can't wait to sink into it 💖

Would love to have a really really nice pillow and don't mind paying a decent amount of money for the right one, but it's a lot of money to gamble with if it turns out to be wrong.

Same here, I've just this minute purchased it, I've been wanting it for over a year! So happy it's on offer

Well said Daz! I agree, I suffer from insomnia and back problems, if this pillow works for me it's a small price to pay! I can't wait for it to arrive
I meant to add, it comes with a 3 year guarantee
We've had one of these each for almost 5 years. As good as new still and the most comfortable pillow we've ever had. It is quite firm though and fairly thick so won't suit everyone. If it does suit you don't be put off by the price. £68 for a pillow which will probably last a lifetime is an awful lot cheaper than a new cheap pillow every year or so.

I do agree with what you are saying, I've hesitated for so long before purchasing this pillow, it is a lot of money but Ive got to the point that I'm so fed up of tossing and turning that I will try anything, I will report back when it arrives, but, I know we are all different. A pillow is one of the most difficult things to buy, over the years I've thrown so much money at pillows fingers crossed 🤞

yep i feel the same.
there are pillows that can be customised by removing/adding some filling to get the softness right (eg simba one on john lewis page)
think i'll go for one like that as next buy

Thank you Merlin, I am super excited and cannot wait to receive my pillow, I've hesitated for so long! I'm used to firm/memory foam pillows so I'm hoping all will be good for me. The reviews are excellent. I think possibly if someone's never tried a memory foam pillow, it might take a little while to adjust

I think the simba one has 20% off at John Lewis too I too was looking at these, such a difficult decision
I bought the Dunlopillo Super Comfort Full Latex Pillow Firm after trying it in a shop but after a nights sleep I realised it was too high, does anyone know if the Tempur will be any better?
Best thing i bought as not had aches in the morning since i bought one. Last ages. Would buy again.
Recent reviews suggest quality has diminished. Has anyone purchased recently?
Not a cheap pillow but as this is on discount Ill give it a go. Have some heat
A good deal, Casper pillow also on offer, I may have to go instore and give that, the simba and this a feel.

Hi there. Just been looking at the Simba pillows as I don't like the pillow to be to high/firm and from closer look it seems that there are 2 types of the Simba hybrid pillow. One seems to have outlast and 90% down adn 10% duck feathers and the other on the Simba website mentions stratos technology. I'm a bit confused at to which one is which as the JL review does mention feathers so think that this may be the older version.

yeah i didn't loose closely at the simba but just saw was adjustable - you can get other brands which can adjust the memory foam amounts as well
edit: think stratos is just some fancy way of saying the outer cover has a texture which helps keep cool
then there is a duck down/feather layer
then a memory foam layer

I bought one on Friday at full price thinking that they're never reduced then this!

My wife absolutely loves it though.

Could you make a price match request with JL? Worth a look under "What if you do find a lower price elsewhere?" : johnlewis.com/cus…aim

Also, does anyone know what the JL return policy is on pillows? Or do Tempur offer a "30 nights to see if you like it" type of gurantee like Eve?
Paid £100 for mine 6 or 7 years ago, still good as the day I brought it,

Thanks, I ended up buying it from Argos in the end as I get better rewards there so no can do.

To get over it I've just bought myself a Dunlopillo pillow to cry into as they're also reduced as part of the 20% off bedding
If this is anything like their little travel pillow, highly recommended! I can't afford one at the moment, but I do like my little travel one when we go camping / festies etc.
Do these pillows get hot, do you get the 'cold side' effect? I'm not a fan of fibre filled pillows for that reason.

Yes you can ask for a price adjustment within 28 days. I got 20% back on sofas I bought from JL earlier in the month.

Do pillows breakdown often?
Cheers OP, was awake in the middle of the night Googling what pillows are best as ours are awful after only 8 months.

So I'll be awake tonight worrying about spending £136 on 2 pillows
Never understand these whole 'that much for a pillow' comments. Pillows are important, people spend more than a third of their life on them. A car can cost 100 grand. One at £5000 still drives you.
Thanks for posting!

I paid £50 for a latex one over a year ago, still kept original shape unlike the pillows I had to keep replacing every few months.

Isn’t that the opposite point to spending a lot on a pillow. Like from what you’re saying a cheaper car can do the same as a more expensive one?

I would like one of these though, just to convince the wife

I'm not entirely sure why I wrote it like that. Ha. I meant to say you always see comments like that but people will go and spend that much on a car when a cheap one does the same but nothing is said, when in comparison this much on a pillow that you use far more often is better value.
Can someone spare £68 for me
